Hmmmm, another night so another knife.

The ever present glock knife. I tied the sheath to a galco SHUKA (universal knife accessory) a few years ago thats attached instead of the mag carrier on a galco shoulder holster i use for my g30. Since its tied on pretty well and straps are adjusted ans locktite applied to screws, there it stays. Gets carried a fair bit in the winter and conceals in that way pretty well. Overboard ? I dont think so. Abused and worn? Yeah, kind of. Anyone who has seen any of my knife pictures knows, i dont baby ANYTHING except for my children- as it should be. Tools get used and sometimes that includes abuse.

I like looking at something that someone uses and shows a little wear. Nice knife you have there.

I recently replaced my previous carry with this Griptilian. I carried a ColdSteel MiniLawman daily for over eight years, then gave it to a friend who admired it. Foolishly as it turned out, that knife is no longer available and I miss it terribly. That said, the Benchmade blade is a decent if not a direct replacement.

.

I have none "on me right now" as I'm wearing house pants (i.e. pajama bottoms), but further as I'm standing in my kitchen preparing supper I have in immediate arms reach a large chef knife (i.e. a short single-edged sword), several "butcher knives", and still more serrated steak knives and paring knives, to say nothing of "mass weapons" (as in cast iron pans), I am not unarmed.

You attack a cook in his kitchen with distance weapons or not at all!

Been carrying a (non-serrated blade) Spyderco Endura most of the time lately … I have a few of 'em, they're relatively inexpensive, yet so lightweight, sharp and practical.

Right now, I'm carrying one of these...the yellow one, specifically.

At $10 for a pack of 4, these little buggers are AWESOME! I order a pack of them once in a while when I get stuff off Amazon so I always have a couple on hand.

Well , since I'm goofing off websurfing and doing some freehand stone work on my cheap backyard cutters that would be a katana like LongQuan sword, which shaves nicely thanks.
. Never more than a fifty dollar blade. To my mind the whole business in the sheath or wooden saya is a handy riot stick with benefits. For the price I wouldn't cry if I broke it in an emergency.
No formal training with any kind of blade. Read Book of Five Rings, watched Game of Thrones. Pretty sure this is a 'stick them with the pointy end' type fo defense tool if a person isn't a skilled cutter.? Often at hand when just sitting about in this day and age.
Now edc is of course a wee bit different :D :D :D
Nice to have options? This is my first cutting with a katana like object, a bit more at ease with it since then.

May have to look for another EDC knife. Turns out the window breaker on the end of mine is rubbing a hole in my jeans after enough carry. Which is everyday.

A Carbone No. 7 Opinel. It was gifted to me a couple of weeks ago by the same USMC buddy that gave me the No. 8 that I've shown here before. Dang those things get sharp!

My everyday companion is an el cheapo from Wal Mart that's probably 4 years old by now. Might have been branded as their "Ozark Trails" brand of outdoor stuff but I don't recall for sure. Quite sure it cost just under 10 bucks including tax. Wanted something that wouldn't hurt me too much if I lost it or if it self destructed. After the first couple years I felt it was a good buy for the money. Not too bad at holding an edge, for something in that price range, and has been O.K. for my usage. Clips into the little right front key pocket of my jeans. Gives some of my more expensive, better quality blades a break from some of my routine "knife chores".
