Interested in the bullets from RMR. I ordered bullets and brass from RMR on 08-25-2014 before I knew about the 5% off. Below is the pasted email I received from rmr confirming my order. If i need to add more info just let me know. I also ordered from Xtreme bullets, midway (unfortunately they had what i needed in stock), midsouth shooters, natchezzss, and a few others ..

thanks

David Grasty,

Thank you for shopping with Rocky Mountain Reloading at http://shop.RMRBULLETS.COM.

Order Summary
-------------

Invoice #: 0000030937

Order Date: Fri, Aug 22, 2014 19:41:05

I was planning to offer up RCBS RS-5 single stage press and maybe Lee Classic Turret press.

What I may do is assemble some other items like calipers, scales, bullet puller and do a reloading kit to offer for PIF.

Stay tuned.
Too cool. Good on you man.

Hmmmmm?
I've been thinking this through further tonight, about being a back-up judge?
And not being eligible for the prizes? :cuss:

So, If someone throws in a 1900 DWN American Eagle Luger, or an early S&W .44 Triple-Lock?

I want in on it!!

And I will recluse myself from back-up judging the winner and let Blarby or BDS pick ME! :D

MmmKayyy?

Seriously, this was a thread bump!
Come on guys!
I know all of you that have reloaded for long enough to find out what you don't need any longer, or have three of the same thing you bought by mistake can donate something to a new guy just trying to get started!

Lets do it the THR way!
And make BDS famous for thinking of it!!!!

Riiiiiggggghhhhht, rcmodel. I will make sure your name is taped to the bottom of the hat when I select the "random" member. ;):D

We truly cannot imagine the generosity of people and destinies of our lives. Who knows, someone may come across something valuable and decide they either do not reload or may not want the item. So instead of putting it in the Craigslist for the greedy vultures to low ball, they may opt to pay-it-forward to good people on THR.

I am looking around for 18'-22' Starcraft aluminum boat for retirement (Islander, Starchief or even Chieftain) to restore for ocean fishing and coming across some good deals on CL that I don't necessarily need. If I find reloading/shooting related items I can barter/buy for a really good price, I will likely post it on this thread or blarby's PIF thread.
bds said:
Of course, if blarby and/or rcmodel wants to participate, I will default and make the random member selection.
And don't worry rcmodel, if you see something you are interested in, you and blarby are more than welcome to reply for the items. If my fairness in selecting a random member becomes an issue (God, I hope you don't get selected like 3 times in a row ;)), I have no problem allowing other members be the default.

And make BDS famous for thinking of it!!!!
Naw, I don't need fame. But I do need lingcods and rock cods for retirement. :D

I have benefited from the generosity and PIFs from others (starting with my reloading/shooting mentor who kick started the PIF in my life in a big way). If I can leave this life having spread the spirit of PIF to others, as he requested, then I will be accomplishing an aspect of my life I can be happy with.

Don't worry!
There is nothing reloading related I need or want I can't buy.

There is just one thing I desperately need & want that no amount of money can buy.
And it has nothing at all to do with guns or reloading.

And I will leave it at that tonight.

Nite nite all!

UPDATE: I added the following to the OP.

I missed this last night.

Wow, that's so true. When I started reloading, I was a starving college student who just graduated after my time in the Army but was eager to start enjoying life's many things I put off for so many years.

My reloading/shooting mentor who was a bullseye match shooter generously gave a lot of his "reloading junk" he did not need or use but to me, they were "reloading treasures" that allowed me to pursue my new hobby of reloading.

So, look around the house and your reloading room. Chances are you have reloading/shooting stuff that's been collecting dust for years and likely will continue to collect dust for many more years that can be utilized right now by the next generation of reloaders who will carry on our reloading/shooting legacy.

Remember, we were all reloading newbies once ... ;)

And I will recluse myself from back-up judging the winner and let Blarby or BDS pick ME!
I will make sure your name is taped to the bottom of the hat when I select the "random" member.
This is just too cool. I love seeing things like this in the firearm community.

I see we are having a lot fun with this - come on & join in by contributing any reloading item you don't need; it's good to give a newbie a start :)

Since I spend most of my time in the Handloading & Reloading category, I forgot about OpticsPlanet offering 5% THR discount also. Let me know if there are other vendors offering "permanent" THR discount.

In keeping with the spirit of the THR Pay it Forward FREE STUFF GIVEAWAY:

My interest is in 9MM handgun & carbine and I have bullets from a wide array of manufacturers. Since many new enthusiasts find it expensive to try their selected caliber from various products that are offered, I'm going to give what I call the 9MM Beginner's Bullet Buffet Bonanza (BBBB):what:. It will be 10 bullets from Sierra, Montana Gold, Berry's (HBRN & FP), Hornady (HAP & XTP), Barnes, and Zero (90g to 147g). BYOB brass, powder & primers ;). The 10-bullet lots will be individually bagged & tagged for easy identification. Here's the good start to get you up & running :D
That's pretty cool, I started loading 9mm and would have appreciated something like that when I started. It'll be a good start for someone.

RCModel
If you still have the little Lee press I would be interested.
Looks like I could mount it to a milk crate (or some kind of wood box to store goodies in ?)and take it to the range for load workups.

(Should I be doing this here of in the PIF thread?)

Getting ready to try some of MBCs coated bullets, shot a lot of thier 9mm cones. Brad is a great guy.

Not much I know, but I will offer this to anyone who is interested and meets the above requirements.

20 pieces 6.8 Rem SPC brass (grabbed while scrounging .223) (edit - not many I just hate to see it go to waste!)

100+ .40SW brass range pickups from friends (maybe 200+ have not counted), don't own a .40

Add end date 9/28/14
Decided to deprime and tumblehe brass. Note: Not resized. (9mm shell holder worked to hold the 40s and the .357 holder held the 6.8 so I could knock the primers out with a Lee deprime die.

Your welcome BDS.
Neat check weight set. I would be interested but I don't want to be greedy so leave me out on that one.
Were did you purchase it?

I have a box of 50 Nosler Combined Technology Ballistic Silvertip 6mm (.243) Spitzer 95 grain bullets to add. 9/28 is a fine with me.

When I ordered the two American Weigh Scales M2 class check weight sets to get free shipping along with the Gemini-20 scale, I paid $10.40 but it is now showing $11.96 - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003STEJAC/ref=pdp_new_dp_review

I also ordered the Ohaus ASTM class 6 (same class as M2) check weight set from Zoro for $50 with free shipping that I am happy with, so I will put the second American Weigh Scales check weight set for 9/28/14 and put you in for that - http://www.zoro.com/i/G0843236/?utm...506N8jrWKrMh_KzSVM1qhpAFU2BoC6Gnw_wcB&whence=

Who knows, you may get lucky. :D

Thank You THR Pay it Forward FREE STUFF GIVEAWAY

That's pretty cool, I started loading 9mm and would have appreciated something like that when I started. It'll be a good start for someone.

Thanks for the update, bds!
OK members, time to rummage through that dusty storage area to see if there's anything that you don't want/need that could benefit someone else

We only have a few weeks to go & it would be nice to see the list get longer.....

Yes, if that reloading equipment/component/shooting stuff not in use has been collecting dust for several years, chances are it will continue to collect dust for next several years. Instead of collecting dust, you can use them to seed "pay it forward" to benefit the next generation of reloaders in need of equipment/components/shooting stuff - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pay_it_forward

If you are a new reloader in need, don't be shy and participate for the opportunity to receive pay-it-forward items. I am putting together a complete reloading kit that includes press, calipers, bullet puller, reloading tray, brass/bullets, ammo box, etc. to PIF so stay tuned.

Believe me, "pay it forward" has been a significant "feel good" aspects of my short life's experience that was instilled in me by my reloading/shooting mentor. And it has allowed me to develop new friends all over the country (like blarby) and in line with the "High Road" philosophy of this forum (I am not only a seeder/passer of PIF but also a recipient of PIF from Walkalong - Thanks again and I will continue to perpetuate your generosity!).

blarby's awesome thread has benefitted countless members already (true demonstration of the "High Road" spirit as action speaks louder than words) and will continue to bring goodwill to fellow reloaders in need long after all of us are dead (yes, I am sure no one will get out of this life alive.) - http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=698208

So, join other members perpetuate this wonderful notion that will make your coffee taste better and improve your sleep at night. :D

Life is short. Do something meaningful and fun ... today! (Hmmm ... sounds catchy. maybe I will add it to my signature)

There's less than a week left for the first drawing, so if you are interested, post your replies (to one item or all items) to participate.

I would like to be in all the drawings, and really like to have that lyman trimmer and lee press, and those 243 bullets would be nice!, but this one coming up for the check weight set I sure could use it! thanks :)
