Thank you folks for accepting my application here to this wonderful forum!! I have been involved in other online forums, as well as a Moderator too. I got bored of those places due to being "Too Puritanical". I've examined this board here and people don't trounce on you having sporterized military surplus firearms, or the "exotic firearms", or good old U.S. made commercial stuff.

I like the "Run what ya Brung" mentality here. It's like the song by Lynyrd Skynyrd: "Simple Man". I am such, but not simple minded. :D You can ask honest questions here and get honest answers, not some slick mouthed arm chair experts sass.

Again, thank you folks. I see this will be a classy place to visit and enjoy.

If you reload, the experience shared here is second to none. Great bunch of guys across all the forums. The mods are the best I've seen on any board. They work hard to keep it above board here. It is truly a great site for anything gun related.

Thank you. I have reloading equipment, but no room to set it up. I'd like to have a dedicated place like a spare room or shed.

Welcome to THR, F250GUY! (Ignore Bush Pilot, he hasn't paid his dues in over 9 years. ;) )

Well, actually we get posts like that from time to time, but our members help us keep the board a little cleaner than most by reporting them to the THR Staff when they spot one. (Use the "Report" button on a less-than-desirable post.)

I can see this forum rocks!! I'm flipping through the pages and seeing what all people know. Interesting knowledge to learn and glean and "try" to memorize. Thank you Mal H, from an admin guy as I was once myself.

I hope guys like either Moosehead Canadian Lager or Schaefer. Sorry, no Anheuser / Busch products for this newbie. LOL!!

Dortmunder? I don't do beer often, but Dortmunder Gold is one that gets brought home once in a while.

Anyway, I've been on this forum for over a decade. A few others have come and gone, but The High Road has a few things that other forums lack: Broad firearms interest, well informed and well trained people willing to share what they can, moderators and membership that keeps the signal to noise ratio high and a welcoming attitude toward new shooters and new members.

Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter for me, thanks. Seriously, welcome to the forum. I visit a number of forums regularly, but THR is "home" if you will. There are some great long-time contributors here, and lots of "high road" discussions. The moderators do a great job, including reining folks in when they need to be. 1911 guy is right about THR having one of the best signal to noise ratios.

I didn't know Schaefer Beer was even still around; I can remember back in the day when Stroh's Brewery use to own them.

See what interesting things you can learn on a gun forum!

Oh, and welcome aboard!

Welcome my friend, I stumble in here a little short of 10 years ago and never left. In that time I have met at least a dozen guys Im proud to call friends. If I can ever help, let me know.

While most of the members here are top notch, I will absolutely trounce on you if you sporterize milsurp firearms! :D

Welcome to The High Road.

Welcome to the monkey house..... LOL Just kidding. This is a good forum and I like the fact that foul language is not tolerated.

Just don't try to spell California with a "K" ........

Thank you all for the welcomes. Yes, I stick to Schaefer beer, my father drank it since 1947, after he served in WWII. Having one right now, in fact. I have sporterized milsurps, but like said before, that is how I acquired them. :D

WELCOME ! This group likes their mil-surps...and hi-tech hot rods, and EVERYTHING in between. You'll like it here. A more helpful and sharing group of shooters and reloaders would be hard to find! Looking forward to hearing your part of the ongoing conversation!

Mark

Shaefer is still made? There was a plant by us here. Now it's a Sam Adams. I own a gun (gotta stick to the rules, gun related posts).

I remember that. The Lehigh Valley plant was a Strohs, then a Zima. Now it's Sam Adams. Still own the same gun. Read above post.
