The anti-gunners have made the NRA the boogey man and everything that is bad about guns

The anti-gunners have always been better at labeling then Pro-2nd Amendment supporters. They came up with terms like assault weapon, gun show loophole, high capacity magazine, etc. And it sticks. Even though so-called high capacity magazines are just standard capacity magazines, no one calls them that. Even though there is no gun show loophole, tell that to your average citizen.

They have made the NRA the boogeyman, the bad guy, and everything that is bad about guns. No longer is the NRA a civil rights advocacy group that has millions of members, it is now just a soulless protector for evil gun companies that make their money off of the death of school students. For as long as I can remember taking on the NRA was a losing battle for Democrats and politicians actually feared the NRA, perhaps not any longer.

Now it's people vs. the NRA rather than people vs. the members of the NRA.


Gun control has always been a losing issues for Democrats, maybe not it isn’t. Especially with millions of new voters being created by these mass shootings. And this is bad for 2nd Amendment supporters. These students are being manipulated by Democrats who have far more than gun control in mind and with their agenda been waiting for the perfect storm to turn the gun control tide.

First, it came out today that the actual figure of the protests was closer to 200k than 500k.

Second it seems that this is part of the left's attack on the president and anyone who supported him. Since the NRA was a big supporter it's obvious that they have to make sure that the NRA is weakened before the fall midterms. As someone who upgraded their membership to Life Member, I hope this backfires on them and the NRA gets stronger not weaker.

So only time will tell. In the meantime we need to fight as every one of our rights depends on it.
