The Best Gun shops in Indiana.

In Indy, I like KS&E on the east side.

KS&E is awesome, but it's the kind of place you work with regularly. They have the fairest prices you'll find, and prices on ammo are great, but their inventory, at any moment, isn't the largest. Still, worth a trip. They're a stocking CZ dealer.

If you're in the Anderson/Muncie/New Castle area, or passing through Indiana on I-70, stop by Exit 115 and make your way to Whitetail Gun Shop outside of Shirley. It's a local farmer with a gun store. Nice selection and great down to earth people!

+1 on staying away from Don's in Indianapolis. Pop's is pretty good though!

Midwest Gun Exchange in Mishawaka/South Bend is a really nice store with some good people behind the counter.

H and H in Fort Wayne is alright... just alright.

Keistlers is a nice shop with a pretty good selection of guns and reloading stuff. Crossed the river last week to buy powder I couldn't find in my area outside of Louisville.

Yep, nice selection of reloading supplies, if they don't have it Bass Pro right down the street will. Prices on firearms look good and a lot of nice used inventory, I don't buy from them though due to the state transfer thing.

+1's

Keisler's
Fort Liberty Arms
Cosner's

If we want to talk "little, local" gun shops -- Holland, IN -- Dave's Gun Store.

I've shopped most frequently at Midwest Gun Exchange and Kempf. Both great places in their own right! Good people and a good selection at Midwest.

Kempf is a small shop, with absolutely stunning customer service - always willing to help out. They got me into reloading years ago, and were fantastic in helping me choose equipment and supplies.

Both get high marks in my book!

Ludco Gun Shop is an awesome locally owned gunshop in Parker City, which is just East of Muncie! Thousands of guns; guns hanging from the ceiling and in every nook and crany of this small building! He also has hunting, fishing, and trapping supplies. The staff is great too!

will bring this back from the dead for a THIRD time, just because it showed up as a top google result :) helpful I am

i've never been to Don's guns, but the opinion is consistent far and wide - STAY AWAY
for Lafayette area, Guns and Gear IS a decent place, the peanut gallery factor is high tho, know what you're looking for, and what you're buying, and you'll be fine.

Same for H&H in Fort Wayne, they've taken on new owners and are now called Freedom Guns or somesuch. Don't expect any help from them, or any deals. Its always busy, and the clerks are always busy with someone else but they have the largest selection in the NE area, including oddballs like FS2000s and such. Come to buy or don't come.

Central Area near Indy, take a drive up to Sheridan to Target Sports. Good people that like to gab, give you their two cents and all that, but all-around decent and good prices.

If you're in the NE area, 'round Fort Wayne, DEFINITELY go to 21st Century Firearms in Bluffton. The selection is awesome for a small town. The guys will shoot the sh*t with you, and are generally helpful, even tho their opinions are pretty firm. Prices are average, tho they'll knock off a few bucks here and there if you ask. Class 3 Dealer - they sure love their suppressors here.

If you live in the Northern Part of the state an afternoon trip to Kalamazoo, Mi up 131 will net a large gun shop called On Target and another called D&R a little further down the road. Both are located on MIchigan 43, On Target maybe a mile west of ther 131 exchange, and D&R another Mile west, both on the north side of 43.
