The Lone Haranguer:
... this is where the trigger stroke begins. (The placement of my fingers is to get them out of the way for photo clarity, not where I normally hold the gun for shooting.) This makes the DA pull short and smooth. If not for this feature, the reach to the DA trigger for its full stroke would be a little long for my fingers.

My 75B was the same long DA reach. schmeky's Cajun Gun Works, has a reach kit that does very close to what you show with the slack taken out of the DA trigger. The difference makes the DA much easier for my shortened trigger finger. .
The pic on the left matched my trigger. Both trigger pins are on the same graph line. The pic on the right is after installing what is now the CGW kit.
It is 'really' worth checking out on his sight

I don't understand why you would think it strange that I have full autos and semi autos? I have several shown from my Czech collection in this thread but also have many others of different makes as well.

Yes I am in New Zealand and yes we are allowed all types of firearms though alot of people seem to think we can't and there are some that don't want us to.

From what I have read regarding firearm ownership in New Zealand:

C endorsement allows a person to own certain pistols, submachine guns or machine guns defined as Restricted Weapons for collecting purposes but not to fire them or take them from their home other than for exhibition purposes, and Restricted Weapons are to be disabled. This endorsement also covers exhibition in museums or use for theatrical purposes. MSSAs are not allowed to be held on a C endorsement.

That surely was a fine photo essay you made dancz. Keep on acquiring those fime firearms.

FourTeeFive

You are reasonably correct in what you have written though it only covers some of the NZ restrictions. I would happily go into as much detail as you would want but it would involve pages of information.

To keep it short, we have five main categories of licence.

Cat A is for standard long arms over 30” in length and for air guns if you are under 18 years

Cat B is for those pistols and revolvers (handguns) that you use on the range

Cat C is for full autos and restricted firearms that are not shot

Cat D is a dealer’s licence

Cat E is military style semi autos that are able to be shot

As to using all types of firearms, we are not allowed to use full autos but most others can be shot. All firearms must be stored safely under secure storage IE a locked cupboard through to a safe and strong rooms depending on type and amount. For example mine are in a hidden room with internal security and also surrounded by security systems. You are not able to get near the room even if you were able to find it. All walls are steel lined as is the ceiling. Your quote about having to disable restricted firearms suggests that they are permanently disabled but that is not the case all mine are able to be fired.

One of our greatest differences from your laws is that we are not allowed to own a firearm for the purpose of self-defence. If anyone wishes to start a thread on firearms laws it would certainly make interesting reading.

Thank you for the reply. Out of curiosity, and to keep it on track in this thread, are the CZ full autos that you have "demilled" or otherwise made to be non functioning? Or is it just that you can own them but not shoot them?

Where I live in the USA we are not allowed to have full auto weapons, but in many parts of the USA you can with the appropriate tax stamps. And you can shoot them. In my state we used to be able to buy suppressors but not use them, although recently that was changed so that we can now use them. Of course all of these laws do nothing to affect criminals but it is interesting to here of different countries and their laws.

I was unaware that Washington infringed in this way.

I would like to encourage folks to phrase this properly -- as far as I am aware, your legislature has no power to "allow" anything; if you are "not allowed" it is only because you are PROHIBITED.

Am I mistaken? Can you cite statutes that allow certain conduct outside the context of exceptions to what is prohibited? Sadly I suspect you can, this is just really annoying me at the moment.

Oops, sorry, here's my ticket:

Yes, unfortunately under Revised Code of Washington:

RCW 9.41.190
Unlawful firearms — Exceptions.

(1) It is unlawful for any person to manufacture, own, buy, sell, loan, furnish, transport, or have in possession or under control, any machine gun, short-barreled shotgun, or short-barreled rifle; or any part designed and intended solely and exclusively for use in a machine gun, short-barreled shotgun, or short-barreled rifle, or in converting a weapon into a machine gun, short-barreled shotgun, or short-barreled rifle; or to assemble or repair any machine gun, short-barreled shotgun, or short-barreled rifle.

Why can these full autos never be shot? That is a shame to never be able to take these autos to the range and shoot. Does NZ ever let people shoot their full autos anytime?

I hate how we cannot buy full autos made after 1986 and we cannot get some full autos made before 1986 that were imported. Can you at least shoot the pocket pistols or do they have to sit too?

Need help to ID BRNO 22LR

Can someone ID this BRNO dated approximately late 1980's?
It is a 22LR.

It's the brushed stainless 75B LE which afaik has a steel frame as well (like a stock 75B). It's converted to SAO with an action job, a CGW hammer/adjustable sear, and the firing pin block assembly was removed - all adding up to a fantastic gun to shoot. :)

Got to play around with one of my Christmas presents a little early....

Some nice new half checker wood grips. They feel great, they're thinner, but still have a bit of palm swell so they're still comfy. Sorry for the cellphone pic, they have to go back in their box now until Christmas day :(

dancz,
You are allowed to own automatic rifles, but not allowed to shoot them. That shows trust from the authority, but how would they know if ever fired them? There is no disrespect intended with this question in fact, I admire your restraint in owning such firearms.

MrIzhevsk,

Your magazine is loaded backwards........and your sectional is inverted. :scrutiny: Merry Christmas though. :)

You might want to look into how to properly load it before you try to shoot it.....in this case the owner's manual might work wonders

He unloaded the pistol for the pic, and stuck the chambered rnd in backwards. the rest of the rnds are in correctly.

CZ would have had him ship it to correct FTF & F.:D
