Saddam has already circled the wagons for his last ditch effort in defending himself/ regime. I'm hoping for a quick end to this war, that is anothe reason why I'm wanting it to start sooner rather than later.

    Hilarious, but doubtful.

Or, it could have been war games in anticipation of the actual fighting. Practice makes perfect!

If this was true, it's a poor response by the Brits. Those Iraqis could be shot for trying to desert. It would have been better to send them back with some loot (British flag) and make it look like the soldiers took the initiative to "raid" the Brits. Either that or to offer them asylum. Once word gets out that food & life is waiting for them if they cross the border, Saddam won't have an army anymore.

I wonder if we've (the USA) tried leaflet propaganda on them yet.

They gotta be kidding me right?

They should have sent em to the MI boys for interrogation. They could have gotten some useful information. They could have also used this as a propoganda tool against the Iraqis.

We've been dropping leaflets on them for months, basically telling the Iraqis to stay home and watch the fun on CNN. If they decide to fight for the Mustache, they're going to die.

There's a terrible irony in the fact that France and Iraq have been close allies for a long time. Iraq defintely could've looked for better military role models. Curling into a fetal position, losing control of the bladder, and begging for mercy every time one hears "Volkswagen" is not a good example of military prowess.

5th or 6th thread on this.

The Brits may have inadvertently condemned these guys to getting whacked by Iraq. They could have at least asked "how did you get here?" to figure out how to plug up their leaky lines. It's just possible that they may know some other interesting things....

I guess "Topics must be related to firearms" doesn't mean much for this forum anymore, 'cause this should have been in L&P.

Bigjake, probably old news by now, but I just saw on the news and read in the paper that the leaflet program has just begun.
