* so I'm putting forward a specific set of proposals based on Joe's task force
* Intend to use whatever weight the office holds to make them a reality
* no law or set of laws can prevent any act completely, if there is even ONE thing we can do to reduce violence, ONE life that can be saved, we have an obligation to try

23 executive actions!
As soon as I'm finished speaking here I'm signing a directive giving law enforcement / etc some of the tools they need to reduce gun violence.
We'll make it easier to .. strengthing background checks
more schools to hire resource officers
mental health reporting easier
while year after year those who oppose gun control agenda I will direct the centers for disease control to study the best way to reduce it,
congress to fund violent video game research
we don't benefit from ignorance, not knowing, this epidemic of violence
these are a few of the 23 executive actions I'm announcing today
no substitute for legislation
to make a real and lasting diference, congress must act, and act soon. and I'm calling on cnogress to pas very speciic proposals right away

* 40% of gun purases conducted without background check, no safe, or smart etc
* if you wantna buy a gun you should at least show you are not a felon or someon legally prohibited from buying one, this is common sense
* 70% of NRA members support stronger background checks
