Just thought I would add a little input on the new VR60 I got. This thing ran a little rough out of the box using Winchester white box would jam and stove pipe every other round. I put about 25 heavy hand loads through it and it seemed to loosen her up a bit and I have had no issues since. I love this thing it has such low recoil you can fire it one handed (if for some reason that is your thing) My old lady even loves it. I named her veronica (the gun not the old lady). Took off the carry handle sight and put on a red dot with some flip up sights. I have mainly run 00 buck 9 pellet loads through it
00 buck 9 pellet with waa12 wads cut down buck stacked 3x3 21 gr alliant green dot cci 209 primer Shot gun performs well with this load. I am thinking of getting the vr80.

I'm interested in these after finally seeing one at a gun show, What is the difference between the vr80 and vr60? I don't recall which it was I saw at the show. If not for my genetic tendency to never buy the first one I see of anything, I'd have came home with it :)

Other than price not a whole lot the vr 80 utilizes the ar stock and grip while the 60s is molded right in

I have noticed on 3 different gas shotguns (20ga not 12) that those same loads don't seem to cycle as well until they have been broke in a bit. Federals in the same guns worked right off the bat. All three of those I took home, cleaned, and went back out and had no issues. If that helps.

I own the VR80. This thing is a dream to shoot and a beast downrange. It comes with 3 chokes, and a barrel nut to take off the shroud and put a compensator on it. Unlike a standard AR it is side cocking with reversible handle. With over 700 rounds it only had 3 failures (first 15 shots) and never any after. I put a couple of the augila shorty shells in it to see what happened. They fired and actually loaded the next full size round. The flip up sites it comes with are good but adding a red dot is better. You can also add a rifled choke if you want. Over all it is a great gun and has replaced my Mossberg 590A1 as my HD. Side note the VR80 with 20" barrel is the same overall length as a 590A1 with a 18".
