The RUGER OLD ARMY Club

I knew about the long shelf life of real b/p and caps from my own accidental experiment; went into the USAF in 1971 and packed away some b/p supplies in an old ammo box and forgot about it. I was helping my brother clear his storage unit in 2002 and there was the ammo can with about 1/2lb of Dupont 2f and a tin of caps as well as a 3/4" b/p cannon and some fuse, there were also some 120gr paper shells we had made for the cannon from nitrated paper towel. The fuse and powder worked in the cannon and the caps worked on my ROA.

Welcome 94RUGER to the ROA Club! :) If you waited 30 slots later you could have been number 94 instead of 64...but that probably would have taken a couple of years. ;)

And I sure as heck wasn't gonna wait that long to burn some black:cool:. Thanks for the membership; now can you direct me to the pool;).

I was fortunate to find this unfired 1997 fixed sight ROA
model even though it's not as popular as the ones that
have an adjustable sight. It has a very distinct square
notch that matches up with the front blade really well.

arcticap, is that one of the 5.5" models? I'm watching for one of those, too, regardless of sight configuration.

Very nice. Not as popular but perhaps more highly desired by those who appreciate it. Great find.

And no, it's a 7 1/2" barrel.

Thanks mykeal. :)
Here's a closer look at the rear notch and sight groove.
The very bottom of the notch just barely gets blocked by the tip
of the hammer spur when the hammer is in the uncocked position.

I can't stand it any more. Can I play too?

Here is a picture of my old war horse, made back in '86. The target is a sample of what it can do at 25 yards if I don't shake too much. The other 3 I dropped low, just outside the black. Was me, not the revolver.:fire::banghead::cuss:
