I'm sure your 2.0 is junk and I'll gladly buy it from you for $25.

Just think, for less than $275, I'll get rid of all your frustrations!

You're too late. I just traded it in toward a 10-22 backpacker. They gave me 200 dollars trade in for the gun and one mag. I kept the other mag and the laser to sell privately.

Lol, if i can get $150 for the green crimson trace and $20 for the mag I'll break even, as i got a smoking deal on the BG and a $50 rebate.

I have two of these little Smiths, separated by about two years.
I've run 4 or 5 different commercial loads & different bullet weights through both pistols.
The second one will even feed the same Black Hills X bullet that jams up solid in a Kahr .380 pistol I tried it in.

Both Smiths have proved reliable enough for me that I bought both (they were test samples), and I trust 'em sufficiently to carry one or the other as concealed jobbers, when a small gun's needed.

I have had nothing but good experiences with these guns, and after running comps between this model & about eight other .380s over the years, these are the ones I bought & count on for personal use.

I'm happy with my m&p bodyguard. It's my deep concealment choice.

A friend of mine has an early production Bodyguard and except for problems with the laser module (replaced once by S&W and still has an issue with a wandering zero), has been extremely reliable with just about anything he runs through it. If I were going to get one I would definitely get it without the laser.

Several men in my church (yes, many of us carry) use the 380-BG. No complaints so far. I had one - liked it. The gunsmith at Gander did a $20 trigger adjustment which helped a lot. I did eventually sell it in favor of buying a G-42. After the G-42 "updates" it has been PERFECT. Sorry you got a lemon.

If you are inclined to get back into .380 pocket carry, check out the micro desert eagle.

don't know about bodyguards because ive never owned one. the couple ive shot seemed to run fine. As to M&Ps I have a full sized 9 and a mid sized 45 and a shield in 40 and they all are dead reliable. Just as reliable as any glock I own.

Well after reading all the above I have to say I was skeptical on the performance of the bodyguard. I have shot over 500 rounds of mostly carry hollow points ammunition. I can honestly say that my pistol runs flawlessly and is dog nuts accurate especially with hornady critical defense ammo. This gun is by no means anything like what I have read above in regards to junk. My gun just runs and runs awesome and I-can honestly say I would not hesitate to recommend this pistol to anyone. Its too bad that anyone had to deal with a problem handgun but I can say this is not what I have found with my pistol.

I can look up about any gun made on the internet and find people calling them junk.

You can, but some are far more notorious than others for particular well defined issues. The BG380 is pretty notorious for light striking. Had I done more research when I purchased my first BG, I wouldn't have got it in the first place. The second one I got was a great deal and I was willing to take a chance being that it was a gen-2 and the guy behind the counter said the problem had been resolved. The BG 380 certainly does not have the same reputation as something like the Ruger LCP or the S&W Shield. If you go to the S&W website, it is without exception the most complained about firearm S&W has produced in a very long time.
