I decided to play around with an OWB holster for a pocket gun. More or less just to see how it came out. For reference, the spectrum is about the same size as an LCP

It still needs some cleanup, and the staining on the rough leather came out poorly. But as a test unit, I am satisfied. I might do another one with better stitching to keep long term.

Good retention, and very easy to forget you are wearing it.

Small holsters are much harder to make well. It's more of a test of artistic skill than just leathercraft skill. The fellow that turned this one out knows his stuff.

Except for the thumb snap you have to look hard to see the stitching. He's blended it so well with the border stamping it just seems to disappear. The way the dye shifts from the redish color to the darker brown shows the artistic side.

These are the sorts of things I look for in a leathersmiths work.

Well, this little guy was just a prototype to see if such a small holster would work and if it was even worth spending time on.

I'll use it for awhile and if I like it I will make a cleaner example.
