The term "Hoarder"

It's a term that should be banned from use on THR. This term "Hoarder" is being used as a derogatory term applied to members or others who have managed to acquire ammo by those who haven't been able to acquire it. It's a "haves" vs "have not" argument. Those in the "have not" class have to have someone to blame so they blame those who either planned ahead or those who have worked to acquire the ammo they need.

Frankly if you are not engaged in stocking up on supplies needed to continue in this hobby then you might as well sell everything you have and find something else to occupy your spare time. Shortages will continue to occur as the political question will never be solved thus we will always be under attack. Ammunition costs will continue to rise. The only way one can ease the impact of shortages and price increases is to build up a stock of supplies today. You can't wait till such conditions manifest themselves to take action. You can plan now for success or fail to plan and do without in the future. It's a choice.

Queen, I couldn't possibly agree more.
The same people that use terms like "hoarding" are the same ones that think their lack or preparation should be considered an emergency by the rest of us.

Just wear it with honor. I'm proud to be a "hoarder". I'm not ashamed that I over 50,000 rounds of ammo. I roll my own and I have two youngsters that will shoot it all several times in the next few yeass,at least the centerfire.
