I bought a machine after hand stitching that damned rig! I was recently asked how much it would cost for an elephant hide leather rig like that. I figured it would have to be at least $1200, if not more. Elephant hide is about $50/sq-ft and it was a tremendous amount of work. The good thing is that with the interchangeable cartridge panels, I can use it with virtually any 4 5/8" Bisley.
You sure have some Top-of-the-line Ruger Bisleys. I noticed you favor the larger custom .475’s and such. If you ever wish to cull any “puny” .44 mags or .44 SPL Bisleys from your arsenal, holler at me. The Ruger .44 Bisley is my favorite (also, actually the most potent magnum heavy loaded caliber I can shoot comfortably).
Actually, that engraved .500 is the only single action I have bigger than .45Colt. The stainless steel Bisley pictured above is an oversized six-shot .44Mag. I use it with Brian Pearce's "Redhawk only" loads.
. You have impeccable taste to go along with amazing skill, nicely done on all fronts, Craig.
I did an article on that one too.
