For those of you that have not read Craig C’s article and seen his pics, they are absolutely stunning! Have your handkerchief handy cause you may drool a bit.

I don’t even want to ask Craig C the cost for that gun/knife/leather rig. I’ll take a wild guess and say it’s around the 10g mark

    Thanks for the kind words!

I bought a machine after hand stitching that damned rig! I was recently asked how much it would cost for an elephant hide leather rig like that. I figured it would have to be at least $1200, if not more. Elephant hide is about $50/sq-ft and it was a tremendous amount of work. The good thing is that with the interchangeable cartridge panels, I can use it with virtually any 4 5/8" Bisley.

    Hey Craig,
You sure have some Top-of-the-line Ruger Bisleys. I noticed you favor the larger custom .475’s and such. If you ever wish to cull any “puny” .44 mags or .44 SPL Bisleys from your arsenal, holler at me. The Ruger .44 Bisley is my favorite (also, actually the most potent magnum heavy loaded caliber I can shoot comfortably).

Actually, that engraved .500 is the only single action I have bigger than .45Colt. The stainless steel Bisley pictured above is an oversized six-shot .44Mag. I use it with Brian Pearce's "Redhawk only" loads. ;)

Hey, 45 Colt on the top end ain’t far from 454 loads. Too painful a recoil for me. .500? No thank you, unless it’s a “special” type load. I understand that the 500’s are good backup for dangerous game. Who customized that stainless .44 Bisley for you? It is nice

I learned a lot from Brian Pearce, John Taffin, and Elmer Keith’s writings over the decades. They made me the .44 fan that I am

Amazing work on the Ruger, the knife and (especially) the leather gear!!! The article was also very well written :). You have impeccable taste to go along with amazing skill, nicely done on all fronts, Craig.
