Hello, I was just wanting some help with assessing the value of a few rifles. I have looked on gunbroker and done some searching but haven't come up with much. Thanks.

The first is a Siamese Mauser rebarreled to .45-70 by Federal Firearms, Inc., of Federal, Pennsylvania. It has a BOLD Mauser trigger, Weaver mounts/rings and wears a 3-9x40mm Nichols scope (made in Japan). I've only found minimal surface rust, but the gun isn't in the best of shape. The stock doesn't fit it (doesn't allow you to pull back the bolt without hitting the safety). Has the serial number etched into the side to the right of where it was stamped.

The second is an Harrington & Richardson Model 158 in .30-30 Winchester. It has the case-colored action and is in fairly good shape. Has some marks on the stock as well as the metal but overall in 90% or so.

Well I paid $100 brand new for the 158 in 44 mag. I had to search high and low for the scope mount for it as it's cantilevered.

Hm, not too encouraging. Wish it was worth a bit more. Thanks.

Google .........that model 158 just as you have it. I did and found plenty of information about it, plus pricing. :)
