Don't get me wrong, I truely enjoy walking around looking at all the goodies. But I just finished 4 nights straight at work. I lost 2 kids, and I'm still trying to recover from the flu. All I wanted to do when I got home this morning was fall into bed and sleep until monday night. I might have been asleep for 2 hours when The Wife woke me up and asked if I would like to go with her to the gun show. I was still half asleep so I agreed. We ended up buying a lefty IWB holster, a couple of speed loaders, a shotgun sidesaddle shell holder, and 100 125gr jhp bullets. AND NONE OF IT WAS FOR ME!!!!:cuss: Don't know what I'm a gonna do with that girl.

Be thankful she shows interest.

I asked the wife if she wanted to go to the show here this weekend and she said, "I dont want to go and look at all that s*%t. Thats your hobby, not mine!"

Okiecruffler,

The first thing you do is get over the flu.

The second thing you do (when you can't give any disease to anyone else) is to take that girl into your arms.

The third thing is not fit to say for a family type board :D.

O/T I know. Those two kids, did they have the flu? Did you get a flu shot and still get the flu? Theirs a lot of hubbub about the flu…how bad is it?

One had the flu, we've lost 2 around here to the flu and one in Tulsa. It is a very bad strain. This is the first time in 7 years that I haven't gotten the shot first thing, and I ended up taking care of a flu kid for 3 days before we realized he had the flu. I took the shot then, but it was too late.

Back OT, today I get to teach the wife to reload, and she has her heart set on two new guns that she saw yesterday at the show. She wants a Keltec 380 for a BUG, and a keltec carbine for just playing with. I used up all my luck on the day I met this lady.

One hell of a gal you have there Okie ...... I too am pretty fortunate, tho mine has never dragged me to a gun show - yet!! Just accepts that I'll be going or - aquiring ''something'' most times I go anywhere near a show or shop!!

This flu sure is a bad 'un ...... lingers a lot ...... hope it soon clears for ya.:)

Haven't been active flu for a week and a half, but with the weather and work schedule, some of the resp problems have lingered.
She managed to turn out 100 rds of 357, but doesn't seem to get much joy from it. I don't mind, I can reload enough for the both of us.

You are lucky; I do the leg work and she just takes the guns she likes away from me!:uhoh:

Okie, sorry bout the two young uns but think of the ones you do help. If your good lady has a sister, does she want a friend from abroad :)

shoot well, be safe ....

I need to find a girl that will drag me to gun shows.

Okie, i've noticed there are quite a few male nurses on the board. I'm working on my BSN, i've met quite a few others here.

I can't claim to be a BS nurse

I only made it to ??? nurse.:neener:

There are a few of us out here, mostly in ICU's and ED's. Great work, pay's not so great, but with 12 hour shifts you get some killer time off.

Oh well, can't put ??? in a post anymore. And as far as my brother-in-laws go, they ain't exactly no prize pigs either.

Okie - you are blessed and may all our turmoils be like yours.
