I voted for the Glock 21 because that is what I have for a "go-to" handgun.

But.....

That Springfield XD 45 Tactical is looking sweeter everyday.

USP--
The choice between fullsize, tactical, and compact might be tough, however. I know of several people who own them and swear by them. They are supposed to be some of the most reliable and acurate .45s around.

Now, if it wasn't my last gun for a while, I'd build a .45, customize it how I see fit.

Or buy a Jericho in .45 :D

I voted Glock 21, even though right now I have a Glock 30.

In a SHTF situation, I wanted a lot of loaded mags at ready. At $15 each I can afford a lot of them, compared to HK or Sig mags.

Plus it's just a great, reliable gun.

I voted for the XD tactical, although I'd rather have the service model. The extra weight on the end of the tactical seems to make for slower follow up shots for me.

I have owned both the XD45 AND THE HK USP If price was no object I took the HK spare mags will be cheaper on the xd and the GLOCK 21 IS JUST NOT a good fit in my hands were the above two feel fine.

Since you say I cant grab my P97 I would have to go with a 345 or a P90.

one shot one kill

ruger p90 its the only 45 i have and has never failed me.
Like Wilson, I only have one .45 now. It is an EAA Witness, and is NOT on the list. However, I'd have no qualms about grabbing my Witness when the SHTF.

Maybe "other" should have been an option on this list, rather than try to list all the .45s ever made.
