For the past month or so I've been trying to decide on what configuration M1a I wanted to buy with my tax refund. With all the different combinations available it's enough to drive a guy crazy, especially when you consider the cost it will probably be my first and only M1a. I found one last week with a SS NM barrel at a pretty good price. I assume it's a loaded model with the NM trigger as well but it wasn't mentioned in the description. I'm pumped to finally be member of the M1a club!

Congrats and welcome to the club. I bought my first one last October after lusting for one for many years. I started looking for a NM rifle but then went crazy and bought the M-21.

I was lucky enough to pick up 500 pieces of new Lake City Match brass recently so I am set for ammo for a good while.

    Updated with pics!

Well here she is in all her glory. I bought a ARMS 18 and mounted a Leupold Rifleman 4x12 that I had lying around using Leupold rings (the front flip cap arrived after the pics were taken). This is certainly the lowest scope installation possible. I also installed a Tanks sling adapter plate so I could use one of my bipods. It's a sweet shooting gun and I was surprised how low the recoil was.

Now this is what I call an evil black rifle :D.

How big is that cat??? Maybe my depth perception is off, but either the rifle shrunk or the cat is HUGE!!!:what:

Now that was an unexpected question Schadenfreude. Sorry to say I don't know. My work was going to throw it out and I adopted it. I've been taking it outside in the summer and it's gotten rather large

BammaYankee - the cat is actually pretty small, certainly not large. She acts like shes the size of a tiger though!

This pic of my Son makes the rifle look a little bigger :p. He had a hard time just holding it up!

Nice rifles. The plant seems to be a type of Schefflera.

Best purchase you will make. Besides number 2 or number 3 etc. They are addictive....

Congrats. Great deal. Looks like a 'loaded' model. How's the trigger?

The trigger is nice and crisp. It's very similar to the NM 2 stage triggers on my AR's.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys :)

Get you son on that rifle quick!!! That is the only way to fight the effects of the Nintendo generation. Shoot real rifles instead of ones on the computer!!! Good buy, make sure he understands IT WILL BE HIS SOMEDAY.
