Does anyone have any experience using thermal scopes especially the ATN Thor or similar models? I wanting to get good quality and brand. What are the cheapest/ best scopes on the market?

I picked up an ATN Thor HD thermal scope, and it works better than I'd thought it would. Of course, I'd prefer a 640/60Hz device, but this thing I was willing to gamble on for the price.

ATN is a high risk item. When they work, they work good. When they don't, you have the navigate customer service hell.

CS examples...

If you want budget thermal, I would suggest Pulsar. They have the best CS in the industry if you have a problem.

The new kid on the block with budget thermals is AGM, started by a couple of guys (of the three who started it) that worked for ATN, Armasight, and then FLIR. They are usually primarily FLIR cores, IIRC.

almer899, what is your intended use of the optic? Are you looking for a spotting scope or weapon sight? At what ranges do you plan on using the optic? If as a weapon sight, how far do you plan to be shooting most of the time and what is your greatest distance you plan to use it? What sort of budget do you have?
