Just got the weekly newsletter from our local state representative about introduced legislation. Here is what is in front of Kansas so far.....luckily, little or no chance of passage here with a Republican supermajority, but I'm a little worried about HB 2198, the "red flag" legislation.

Meanwhile, the Republicans introduced this: Eddie Eagle may be coming to Kansas!

Thank You for the heads-up.
Two letters written, reading on the third bill. These affect me - I'm in Hutch.
Right now it's time for Gentleman Jack and music. Think I'll run some Tchaikovsky (Karajan conducting) and Pink Floyd.

EDIT: Letters written, shipped of to my state representative.
Again - Thanks for the heads-up.

Every state has their gun owner restriction advocates and they are usually represented by someone that agrees with them all or part of the time.

It is important to never get so comfortable with your state legislators to think "It can't happen here". After every tragedy or when we're comfortable and confident we can sleep through the next couple of years there is legislation proposed that could make it to a vote...and possibly pass.
Try to support your state Pro2A org and treat every proposed piece of legislation as if it has a serious chance of passing and getting signed into law without your personal opposition.

Consider yourself lucky it has taken until now. We have had all this imposed upon us in the last six years and there is a bill in the senate now to abolish the sale of all semi-auto firearms. Both houses of state government contains too many liberals for common sense to prevail about ANYTHING with a governor that is even worse.

If I was several years younger I would pack my sack and return to Texas. I would miss all the public land I have to roam on but would learn to get along without it.

Gun control is really more about having control over the peons than safety and will never go away.

Find myself wondering what constitutes “ securely storing “ in HB2200 (?).
