The only place NSF appears in the rule book is in section 2.2.D.g "while transferring a firearm from one hand to the other."

I think I found it, SPD.

Yes, many local IDPA matches are very permissive with guns that don't fit the regular divisions. Many have been allowing 22lr for all shooters this year since ammo has been hard to come by. At our club we call it the NFC (not for competition) division and is the catch-all for those that don't fit any regular division.

Yes, 22s are showing up. It makes sense to increase participation. If it annoys purists, too bad. If someone shoots a Glock 44 in a division for them, it doesn't affect you.

I will check into it. If I can shoot my regular carry pistol, in .22lr (it is convertible), then it may be worth the 200mi drive to an event.

Definitely call ahead, as clubs will vary a lot in that respect.

I love having a .22 conversion for a carry gun. I carry a G19 and have a .22 conversion for my G17 and love being able to get some practice in with .22. I haven't had to resort to using it at matches yet, but it's nice to have the option! What is your carry pistol?
