It's in the eye of the beholder. But which one revolver & which one pistol do you think are the best looking? These would not be customs, but out of the box guns any of us could buy ( finances allowing ). If your pistol choice is something like a 1911, be specific about which one. There are so many, and they can look vastly different.

Thanks,

OK, I'll bite but with the proviso that I can expand from two. Blued, plain, no fancy stocks or engraving.

Revolvers: Colt PP and S&W Combat Masterpiece or Magnum

Big auto pistols: CZ 75 and P.38. (French 1935A comes close)

Pocket Autos: Colt M1903/1908.

Rhino and Hi-Point.

Sorry, couldn't help myself. Actually they would be the S&W 5" M27-2 and post war Pre-70 Colt Government. Also the Colt 1903/08.

Revolver - Ruger SBH Bisley edition with the black and white marbled grips

Semi auto - STI Elektra 1911 with either the blue or black grips

Pocket - Sig p238 Black pearl

I only own the ruger SBH and would love to have the others.

I always liked the rhino, it has a certain uniqueness to it. One day I will probably own one.

Auto - Walther PP
Revolver - too many look alike...I'm going with a nicely blued 4" police positive Barney Fife special.
Muzz - Remington pocket or howdah.

Revolver-Colt Single Action Army 4 5/8" barrel
Semi-Auto-Colt Combat Commander
Black Powder Revolver-Colt Model 1860

S&W md 24, Browning HP, Colt Python, Colt 1911 blued "70s model, Colt 1903, Luger.

See a trend here No plastic pistols or painted parts. No matt ersatz blue bead blasted finish.

As for the Rhino it gets the odd man out award. I have three two five inch and one snub. The snub works great as a head flattener and shoots good too.

To look at, to hold, to shoot - it oozes beauty!

Colty Colt.. I'll take mine in .32 please.
For revolvers - if I still had it I'd put up a photo. My first - very early Dan Wesson .357 with a full lug barrel and that incredible blue and markings of the first guns. Damn the ill-advised trades of youth!:fire:

My choices span more than a century,,,

I love the looks of an 1860 Colt Army revolver,,,

The smooth lines are so danged elegant,,,
Not a sharp edge in it anywhere.

For the semi-automatic there is no doubt,,,

Beretta Cheetah model 84 or 85,,,
Almost too sexy to shoot.

For me, on looks alone, I would take:
Pistol - Walther P38. I always have liked the looks of it.
Revolver - Ruger SP101. I sold mine because of how it actually shot. It looked great though.

Autoloader: Colt 1911 - Tossup between the original military issue and one with the 1960s commercial rollmark.

Cartridge revolver: Smith & Wesson 581 (blued, not chromed).

Black-powder revolver: Colt Model 1851

Ruger target pistols, Mk1 with a 7 and 5/8 barrel or Mk 2 with a 5.5 bull.

The Colt Viper was one pretty piece, but rare and now exceedingly expensive.

Best Lookin'? Here's my picks...Cheers Apachetodd!
