I just looked at a used Remington 700 in 300 AAC. I don't remember the letters that are in the name! Its has a blue finish, has a Hogue stock, a short fat barrel, and has a thread protector. I know that it is a pretty limited caliber, unless you are shooting suppressed, which I plan to do. I'm thinking that it would be fun to shoot hogs with, at night.
The Drawbacks- Limited range and ballistics, everyone seems to be out of brass, most everyone is out of dies.
The positives- Well, its homeless! It has a 223 bolt face and could become something else easy enough if the AAC fails me.
Your thoughts, experiences, and opinions are welcome. Thanks, Lightman
