My local newspaper is one of the many gutless media outlets that will not print the muslim cartoons on the grounds of being "tolerant" to the Muslim culture. I am thinking about doing a one man demonstration outside the office of the local newspaper. I would write up a petition of sorts for people to sign, saying that they think that the cartoons should be published as well as have a big sign saying "Herald afraid of free speech, Print the Mohamad cartoons." or something to that effect, as well as having the cartoons on the sign. (If anyone has a better idea for a sign please let me know.)
From what I understand, if I am on the street corner on the public sidewalk I should be fine from a legal standpoint. The petition is nothing official and I should be covered under the 1st amendment. Anyone have any advice for me.
I apologise if this is off topic, but I feel this is one of the better places to ask this.
