Well I have turned into a "I must have a 10mm freak" and just found this Colt Delta on gunsamerica. From what the add says, do you guys think it looks like a good deal? Im pretty new to the 1911 type pistols, so input would be greatly appreciated. If I get the goahead from you guys I think I will buy her.

It looks pretty good to me. It is kinda hard to tell the condition of the gun by a photo on the internet though. A lot of blemishes can be hidden in a photo (though not necessarily on purpose) esp. a dark one like this. Also how does the internals look? How does the trigger feel? How's the bore? Such is the risk of buying stuff on the internet. 98% rating sounds about right. And $675 sounds like a decent price for a 10mm Colt. I don't want to discourage you. If a Colt 10mm is something you've badly wanted that's of personal value that you can't put a price tag on. Shop around, be patient, do more research, and as always caveat emptor.

Here is my two cents worth. I see the front site has been modified or replaced with a dovetailed ramp insert, color appears to be white. Looks like there is a deep scratch below the slide stop pin, indicating repeated accidents during re-assembly. That is all I can tell by one picture. Delta Elites are nice, but I would want to inspect one before buying. If they were shot with FBI loads, they are not likely to develop problems. If they are shot with hot loaded ammo, they can have problems with peening when the factory plastic guide rod is used. Plastic guide rod, what was Colt thinking?
