A little over 2 months ago picked up a Gamo Whisper Pro Elite from the Bargain Cave at Cabelas for $169. I got it help me address a pest control issue Im having. To say Im impressed with this thing is an understatement. Its very powerful and super accurate Dime sized groups at 30 feet (which is the distance I kill most my pests at)

To date I have 21 Grey squirrels (filling the freezer with them)

    6 Coons

    4 Possums

    4 skunks

The coons go to local guys that want the hides. The skunks and possums go to the burn pile and the squirrels get eaten. IF your looking for a plinker that is pretty cheap and with low cost ammo ($8 for 750 pellets) then look at the gamo whisper pellet gun.

Nice shooting, how's the trigger? I had a bank (edit....how does autocorrect get BANK from Gamo?) a while back that I gave away cause of the trigger, heard the new ones were much better but got hooked on co2 guns and haven't gotten another piston gun yet.

    Mmmm... squirrel stew.. :feet:

Around my piece of the woods ticks are a real problem, so possums get a bye.

Haven't got a chance to try the new Gamos but my old Shadow 1000 left a lot to be desired as far as the trigger went. Got a GRT-III for it, made it better but not great. They're spendy to boot.

For a $165 air gun, the trigger is fine. Ive had no problems or issues with it.

Cool, good to hear they are improving. I keep looking at your pictures and wishing we had squirrels here.

How many shots do you have through it so far? Just curious how the gamo's hold up over time.

Cabelas has a gamo that looks the same as yours on sale for $179 (marked down from $279) but doesn't have the open sights.
