A year ago, after an extensive web search, I found two companies that made metal folding target stands.

Now, there is one, and that company is some yankee in a shed. http://backwoodsblacksmith.tripod.com/folding.htm

I mean, this just doesn't make sense. How can a shooting product this necessary only be made by one guy in the entire U.S., and the entire world, as far as I can determine.

Technically, it is the second worst job. At least this dude has a chair. I saw a similar photo where the target stand had to plant it on the ground (although getting a little bit lower might be a good thing). One might also argue that whoever works in those buildings in the background actually has the worst job. Rule #4 anyone?

CI, I think they're pretty close to a decent target stand. Just replace the PFC with a bucket of rocks and you're in business. Somebody remind me not to join the Chinese army.

That image has been floating around for a couple years

Does anyone actually think that pic is real? Look at the backstop.

They do a lot of drills on stance and aiming techniques with unloaded guns to conserve training ammo. This must be one of those.

    It does look funny. :)

Maybe it's some sort of combination morale and trust building exercise, and a means of population control?

It's one of those motivational pictures that you see hanging in business offices. Teamwork!

Ah well people are expendable-China obviously has no value on the lives of its people-or were they willing to sacrifice themselves freely,I wonder?

I have a sneaky suspision that that video is a joke, not someone acctually being shot. Im sure most soldiers in our military would be smart enough to put the plate on the hill.

What do you mean this guy has the worst job in the world?? He probably has fairly decent medical and dental coverage. I would also venture to guess his life insurance policy is better than mine. :p
