Notice the shiny cylinderical object(s) near the subject in question.

I think that is where he stored/poured his one brain cell.

No people, please don't mock him in ignorance.

He was obviously bird hunting, and using an obscure but proven technique to take down the elusive Nut Hatch.

    ;)

Hmm... Obviously, this gentleman is about to become a priest, and is preparing himself for a life of celibacy, chastity and self-denail.

    I think...

Just my opinion but it looked fake to me.

Watch the recoil and listen to the sound. Neither is enough to be equal to even a 2-3/4" light load.

Probably fired primer only shot shells.

The recoil from a standard 12 ga shotshell would have been enough to put him down from a rupture and maybe into the hospital. He wouldn't have been able to do it twice I don't care how drunk he was.

Still - it was a pretty funny video.

I'm surprised that he forgot the obligatory line:

    "Hey y'all, watch this!"

I have to give credit to the guy, it seemed that even after taking the crotch shot he still kept the dangerous end pointed in a safe direction at all times.

Someone mentioned future darwin award winner. If he hasn't passed on his genes yet, I'm pretty sure he just eliminated any chance of passing them on in the future :D

Whether it's real or fake, it's not good video. BTW, those sure look like beer cans. What do we know about alcohol and guns? They are dragging responsible gun owners down their path. Because of all the "stupidity with guns" videos, it's beginning to look more and more like none of us should have them.

Sarah Brady will have this one the 10 o'clock news. Bad enought to be stupid enough to drinking while hunting, worse to do stupid stunts during same, worse yet to do it twice, but worst of all, FILM IT, and let the whole flippin' world see just how stupid you are!?!?!?! As far as we know, only the idiot in question was hurt...

I've been teaching Hunter's Ed for quite a while and I don't remember that as one of the illustrated shooting positions.... Maybe it's a regional thing?

Had an ROTC instructor do that with an M16A1 to demonstrate the low recoil. What he forgot was that he had just demonstrated full-auto form the shoulder, so when he fired from 'the groin', it was a 4-5 round burst which he was not expecting! The strained, "See, hardly any recoil" was priceless. He walk rather gingerly the rest of the day for some odd reason. ;)
