Seems Paulson raised to specter of civil unrest in order to free up money for the bank bailout. Irresponsible but not unexpected.

Got to kinda laugh at the idea of Martial law all over the country. My town has 50,000 people and 48 cops that cover all three shifts.

Even if they call in 20,000 troops each soldier would have to guard 15,000 people. One should understand that if trouble happens you are on your own.
