• Possible Downtime Alert

I am working to migrate THR from the current cluster to a new one. I would like to get this done before the weekend, but it's unclear what the timeframe will be, as testing is still ongoing. As I am writing this the new (rebuilt) host is doing a burn-in to ensure that everything will keep running under load.

When the migration happens users will see a Cloudflare message indicatating it cannot connect to the server. This is expected, and depending on how the migration goes this may last from 30 minutes to 3 hours - I won't know more until testing the various migration options is complete and I have finalized the plan.

More information is available in this thread.

As always, thanks so much for your patience.

This is terrible! A blued python snub released

wish the Python would come in .357 Maximum
You do realize that would call for a redesign of the receiver. I know you are a good customer but I don't think they will tool up for you.

ETA
Once upon a time there was a fad for cutting two Mauser or other bolt actions into unequal parts. Swap and weld and you got one short action, one Magnum action.

Ugh. I just droppped a bunch of cash on a blued 5" GP-100, and I was thinking I'd be able to save some cash for a while.

It looks like they're making every barrel length in blued now. I think I'm in on on a 2.5" or 3". The GP is convincing me that 5" is the perfect barrel length, but I've also always wanted a 4" (okay, 4.25"), like the cops use in A Nightmare on Elm Street.

When I joined this forum back in middle school I never thought I'd see another new double action Colt revolver. Being spoiled for choice now is a glorious problem to have.

Now maybe they'll make a blued Cobra with a normal trigger guard and a 3rd generation Detective Special style barrel...

Don't be too upset. I had one, and they are not all that. The 6" is the bomb, the 4" is nice.

I was going to say that same. I absolutely love my blue 6" (2024 model)...but one is enough for me. I went into mine, fully aware that the premium I was paying...was because it was a blued Colt Python 6"...but did it make for a premium shooting experience? Not really, it's a really solid shooter...but a 6" 686 would do the same, for FAR less $$.

Or a beautiful blued 6" 586 for that matter.............

To me, the 5” is juuuuust right. :D

Like a few other posters, the 2” is not one I would personally go for. I have both a 2” and a 3” Dan Wesson VH barrel-shroud for my 15-2’s, and neither one of those are my favorites either. But I’d like to hear what other guys who have them think of them. 👍

Stay safe.

If they reintroduce the Detective Special, and make it available in California, then my accountant is just going to have to deal with the fallout.

Otherwise, I guess I'll be able resist whatever they are offering.

as long as they get rid of that weird bar code on the side. Don’t care what anybody says, it’s not cool, especially if you don’t trust ai tech reading that code and tracking you. (just my thoughts)
