this Triple Se7en stuff is pretty dang good!

i only shoot real black (up to a few days ago) and i recently picked up some of that Triple Seven pistol. at first i was a bit skeptical but my gosh, that triple se7en stuff is actually pretty amazing! i only need a few grains charge to get .22 LR velocities in my NAA Super companion and if i increase my charges it seems that i am getting better velocities than a .22 Winmag. and the cleanup is so easy it just feel like i should be doing more but i don't have to. :neener:
the residue from Triple Seven cleans up with warm water and hardly any scrubbing. i fired about 20 rounds from my NAA .22 blackpowder Magnum, rolled out the cylinder, ran some hot water through the barrel for a few moments, ran a cotton swab through the barrel... it came out a little moist but perfectly clean. i did the same with the cylinder and the same thing happened. it was immaculate! i could hardly believe what i saw!
the pistol is made of stainless steel and is not going to rust if it gets a little water on it. i also dry my gun afterward.
so i found that that powder is perfect for my little handgun, it produces velocities superior to real black, is easy to use, smells pretty good too, and is too easy to clean. in fact i feel like i should be doing more when cleaning my revolver. it feels like i am going to ruin my gun because i am not preforming some sort of deep cleaning! :what: lol! too easy!

You've made a discovery that is going to optimize your mouse guns.T7 makes ALL the difference in these miniature guns, with their limited powder capacity.
 
I think i am going to get myself a 63' pocket Remington pretty soon, from what i have heard i will be getting .32 S&W ballistics with triple seven! even though it is a hundredth of an inch smaller than a .32 it theoretically should still have roughly the same stopping power.
 
at first it felt kinda weird using Triple Se7en, however it really optimized the performance in my .22 blackpowder revolver. it felt like it had some real power to it, it shot through a thick piece of plywood with no problem!! i even added an aluminum rear sight to my Super Companion, sighted it in and now i can shoot pretty accurately for such a small handgun!! i shot all my bullets today, so i will need to buy more! that is such a wonderful little pistol!
 
Cheaper than Dirt carries the red dot lazers for the little guys if you want to wring the last little bit of accuracy out of your Mouse Guns.

We've got Remington clubs, and Colt clubs, and even a Lematt club....maybe we need a Mouse Gun club? nothing over .38 caliber, no more than a four inch barrel, no more than six shots? I would have said five shots/.32 calber, but that would have excluded my pocket model ''British [Belgian] Bulldog''...
 
I started shooting T7 in my muzzleloader for deer hunting. Much less smoke than traditional black powder. It's nice because you don't disappear in a cloud of smoke and have to wait for it to clear to inspect your shot!

No offense intended but.....

Isn't that kinda the reason we do this in the first place?? Anybody can shoot smokeless powder but only a few can master the good stuff!!
 
Black powder, well, I'd have a can or two on hand if they sold any in the state of Texas inside 500 miles from my house....:rolleyes: I ain't payin' 50 bucks for a hasmat fee. Screw that! Pyrodex ain't much different and 777 is superior stuff, but I can't own a flinter until I can get BP. I don't really want to make a bulk order of 5000 lbs or something. :rolleyes:

Anyway, yeah, 777 shoots HOT if loaded to max. It pushes over 900 fps with a 60 grain conical in my .31 Remmy. I only get a little over 700 with pyrodex. It pushes well over 1200 fps with a 220 grain conical in my ROA. I normally down load it in that gun for shooting fun. It bucks like hell with a full charge and isn't as enjoyable and no more accurate. I do like it in the .31 and the ROA and the .44 cal 51 navy, but downloads. It cleans up easy, primary advantage to me. I still like to shoot Pyrodex for the smoke and sulfur smell, though.:D

In my NAA, I normally load Bullseye smokeless, that's right, smokeless. Do the research. I get about 1150 fps with the 30 grain NAA conical with 2.0 grains of Bullseye loaded with a volume measure, but that's an actual powder weight, not a BP equivalent. Pyrodex is a joke in this gun, 777 wakes it up, but so does Bullseye and it's accurate with the stuff. I load it to carry, occasionally, not to play with. But, I've had much less reason to tote it lately since I got me a NAA Black Widow in .22WMR. That's my church gun, disappears in a suit pocket. :D I was totin' the Super Companion, still have it as an option along with a spare cylinder. Neat gun I won't sell.

what kind of velocity can you get with the NAA C&B magnum? i shoot that stuff out of my magnum and LR versions and they really pack a punch! in the magnum it feels really powerful, but i am not sure what kind of velocity it gets. i have tried the pulled bullets from .22s, the copper or brass plated ones works so well! i also found that if you cut an "X" on the bullet and load it with 4 grains of Triple Seven you can blow up soda cans!
