Is it really that enjoyable to hunt boar. A friend of mine is a butcher and the other week he had to take care of some boar for someone. Now these pigs were big or they looked big to me. But after you get the hide and fat off there isn't all that much meat. I don't understand whats the big deal about hunting them if you kill that big animal to get as much meat as a large whitetail. They must be a lot of fun to hunt then right???

Fun to Hunt

Yeah, they are fun to hunt. This farm where these were taken is near Lake Okeechobee. They have about 500 acres of land, and it's full of Wild pigs. Yes there isn't as much usable meat as in a domestic hog. Basically you get the backstraps and both shoulders and hams... The ribs aren't much to look at. I'll tell you that these things are pretty tough. We took some that day ranging from about 250lbs down to about 60lbs.
