Have you guys ever had, or ever thought about having, a THR convention? Reunion, i dont know what to call it. But a get together of all the members who could get there? Maybe move the site to another region of the country every year, so it will be close to everyone eventually. Everyone could wear a shirt with their username on it. Or a sticker "Hi my name is potatohead"! I dont know, probably wouldnt go over well with the tin foil hat folks-what with revealing their identity and all:)

Im new here, so forgive me if this idea is taboo and i didnt know it

May be a bad idea: Could be a lot of fights! "You said a 9mm was better than a .40, i must choke you" or
-"you said live ammo cant be tumbled"! or

-"you cant reload steel cartridges!" or.....
 
There have been get togethers in the past and they have been positioned around the country. The last one I recall was one in the Crossville TN area.
 
I have seen discussions on here about several. Matter of fact there is a Washington State one in Rallying Point and Range Discussions right now. Unfortunately I haven't seen any in our area.

ETA: I was also just think about having one here but couldn't really think of a good place.
 
gotcha. one of you responsible folks out there should organize one down here. Walkalong, are you listening? :)
 
I think it's a good idea. You could start too by posting a thread of getting together will local members in your area, then try to expand it.

When I see members from my state I usually ask where about they are but they're always kind of far away.
 
New Market actually. I work in Huntsville, Courtland, Muscle Shoals, and occasionally Birmingham so I travel around the state a lot

Don't know where that is (grew up south of Decatur) but we bought our house way out in the Plevna area north of New Market.
 
one of these days...seriously, i think i'll wait til im more of a THR seasoned vet...
 
Judging by your post count I don't think it will take much time for people to get to mow you:) You're definately way ahead of me!
 
I would definitely go, if it weren't across the country. I'm in FL and I think there's only a handful of active members that live there. Seems like the rest of you guys are scattered westward.
 
I belong to another forum that is for audio and we do this all the time. The site itself does a large "Fest" (which I have never been to as it isnt close) and then individual members will sporadically throw one. They announce it, post up a barter table for items people wish to sell/trade. You see how many people are interested, and if enough sign on, the mini fest/barbeque is on. Ours are in the Kansas City MO area and we get folks from as far as Colorado and Wisconsin.

Bear in mind the forum spoken of is a group of guys building?selling/trading Audio equipment, not guns. Just saying that the same type of arraingment could be done for this forum as well...If you did notice it was audio and are still interested, PM me.
