Four years in the Army, July 2001-July 2005. I didn't particulary enjoy it but have never regretted my decision to join. If nothing else it helped me to grow up in a hurry and appreciate what we have in this country more than ever.

Going to RETIRE this Saturday with 35 years total service :D :D :D
USAF Pararescueman 1970-1976
Ca Nat'l Guard Medic on a Recon Team 1976-1980
USAF Reserve Flight Medic 1980-1986
Army 18D40 Special Forces Medic 1986-2000
Currently 1st Sgt CA unit San Antonio,Texas

salute

too young for nam now to old for anything else.
unlike some folks who have been added to my ignore list i do salute all who have served.

Who says ex military? I'm still AD USAF.

Having a line for police experience might be usefull given the questions about service, and the fact that police often seem to think that they're military(referals to 'civilians' and such). Checkboxes for AD/Guard/Reserve/Retired.

I'm also a bit suprised at the number who've switched services.

I'm also a bit suprised at the number who've switched services.

I'm always surprised at the number of folks who do relatively short hitches or who get beyond 10-12 years but don't make 20. I'd have presumed that, once in that far...

"Thanks guys."

I had a pretty positive experience (6+ years) and the Army paid for my degree WHILE I was on duty. I didn't have to use my GI Bill either:D Now I get compensation every month and nearly free lifetime medical care. Only some of my inmates have a better deal than that! Army Security Agency
