Who makes a good threaded barrel for the Sig 226? I have seen some that are inexpensive and others that are nearly $300. The thing is that I'd like to get a Sig 226 Combat, but I'd rather have a Sig with a black frame and no crazy beavertail grips and what not like is on the Elite. Therefore, I want to get a 226 and drop in a threaded barrel on my own. What are my options? Thanks.

The only threaded ones I know off hand are made by Bar-Sto barrels, very high quality but also quite expensive. I was going to order their regular match target one, but they have a 16 week waiting period right now and I'm moving within that time frame. :(

Sig makes them, dealers should be able to beat Sig's direct price, just don't forget about the sales tax on your end...

does Sig make 1/2-28 threads for their 9mm barrels? or is it just the socialist metric threads?

I have a 229 with 1/2x28 threads - but it is oddball. Most of what they do is metric.
