Have had a bunch of 3" guns over the years... 657... 60-10... 65-3 60-4... 66-2... 66-2/65-3... One I'd like to get is a Ruger GP-100 in 10mm...should have grabbed one when I had the chance... Bob
My favorite barrel length. I have several, ok a lot. Most are colts but a few s&ws and a smattering of others too.
Id like to get a S&W 686+ with a 3 inch barrel one day I have two 3 inch barreled revolvers at this timr A S&W no dash 36 and a Charter 357 mag 6 shot 357mag
My idea of the perfect S&W J frame was a Model 60 with a 3" heavy barrel and a round butt frame configuration. A Model 36 made that way was also at the top of the my want list.
I’ve been known to travel down that 3” barrel path once in a while... Dan Wesson 3” VH 15-2 .357 S&W 3” Model 317 .22LR Ruger 3” GP 100 .44 Spl. S&W 3” Model 13 .357 Stay safe.
I love them, but I sold the only one I've ever had. A fixed sight 3 inch Gp100 with compact grips. It was only, and I mean only, because I found it too much work to shoot. For as well as it fit my hand it just didn't suit me at the range.
This one is a 2 1/2" . Taurus 415 41mag. I would like a 3" 44 mag. It would be used with 44 special ammo most of the time. 44 mag while hiking. Until then the 41 mag is my go to.
You’re weak somehow but definitely not in purchasing power if you buy this one. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/883286627
Right now I think my only three inchers are two Rossi Model 720's in 44 special and a big Astra 38 special... oh, and there's an old H&R top break 32, but it almost seems like it doesn't count, since the shape and balance are so completely different. Rossi 720 44 special by Tallball posted Mar 20, 2020 at 1:56 PM
My Dan Wesson M14-2 wears a 3" EWK extra-heavy shroud with his conversion sight and a 1:12" twist tube. It also uses the factory birdshead-style "combat" grip.
Can a 2.75" Ruger Speed Six play in the 3 inch playground? Ruger didn't make many 3" Sixes. 2.75 is the closest I've found (at an acceptable price) so far. The last 3" Six I saw go thru GunBroker went for over $1,000 if I remember correctly.
Don't have that many, but I do love the 3" form factor... The Model 65... My 60 Pro, recently configured with a CT305 laser... The 317 kit gun (top)... ...And the NAA Earl (left), configured here with a Black Widow grip... ...And at a barrel length of 2.75", the Governor comes close to qualifying...
As Clint Eastwood said, “ a man has got to know his limits “. Very nice looking Colt but certainly not in my price range.
