I had the day off Thursday and paid both of them a visit. I had been interested in a set of these grips for my CZ PCR, so this was my first stop. Angus Hobdell laid out a selection of grips, I picked some, and he installed them along with some stainless screws that I requested. These grips feel great - they are thinner and flatter, without the palm swell or tacky surface, enabling me to get a better grasp on the trigger. Although the color and grain looks a little out of place on an otherwise somber, all-black gun, I can't complain about their function.
I asked him about some night sights for it and he said the front was no problem, but there would be a gap in the slide dovetail with an aftermarket rear. He also said he could drill the existing rear sight and install tritium ampoules in it. Following the old adage, "If you have to ask, you can't afford it," I didn't ask what that would cost. I had had previous experience with online ordering from there (some rubber-covered magazine floorplates,) and received them in a timely manner.
About two miles away from there was Glockmeister. About two months ago I had them install some night sights on my G19 at a gun show. Recently I discovered that the front sight "winked out." I didn't have the receipt and couldn't even remember precisely when I had it done, but she took my word and replaced the sight in a few minutes, no questions asked.
