    Hey All,
Anyone have any recent experience with ordering forms from the ATF? I placed an order for the fingerprint cards and FFL App. about a month ago and havn't seen a thing yet. When I ordered a C&R app it only took about 2 weeks.

    Thanks,
    Travis

Did you call or did you order online? We've had better turn-around times with the online orders.

In the past I've gotten them within a few days. My most recent order took about 2 weeks.

Most ATF forms are available online via their website in pdf format. Fingerprint cards are not. Pretty much all local LE uses the same fingerprint cards, if you go there and get fingerprints (free-$20) they will give you the cards.

    Don't do this.

The application for a Federal Firearms License is very clear, it REQUIRES the applicant to only use the ATF fingerprint cards (FD–258 Fingerprint Identification Card).

Using a generic local PD card will get them sent back.

Local PD here uses the FD-258 forms, most do. They are taking fingerprints to scan into federal databases.
