I know there may be better choices of powder for each of theese, but titegroup is what i have and am going to use. Im using berrys bullets, 180 gr fp for .40 230 gr round nose for .45 and 115 round nose for 9mm.

From my tests and what ive read... i think i can safely use 4.5 grains of titegroup in all three rounds! How cool is that.

Ide like some input/ opinions please.

Make sure you test each one by working up to it for safety and accuracy before making the assumption.

Assumptions in reloading can lead to bad things happening.

Ive tested 40 sw and 45 acp at 4.7 grs of titegroup. But havnt worked up my 9mm yet. But i also know i dont need to go all the way to 4.7 grs with the 40 and 45. I just think its cool that i can set my powder dropper at 4.5 grs and go to town, and never have to readjust it. Pretty cool to me. I dont know of another powder i can do that with. But then again i havent looked

Big thing with titegroup is be extra careful you don't double charge a case. really easy to do with so small a powder charge. FYI I use it in 45 and 40. haven't tried in 9 yet.

Do you mind if i ask what your loads are for 40 and 45? Bullet type ad powder charge weight?

Hodgdon list 4.8 gr. (9 mm) TG with a 115 gr. JHP as max-at 30,500 CUP.

Be aware that a couple tenths over makes a BIG difference in chamber pressure with a fast powder like TG. It is unforgiving in that respect.

^^^^
Yes add bullet set back and your over pressure in a hurry. I read some where with TG that 0.050" setback and double the pressure. So Be Careful.

This is one power I have no use for. Way too moody and burns very hot.

I've had great luck with TG in everything I've tried. I keep reading about it being "peaky" or whatever, but that has not been my experience. But, I don't load for max velocities, either.

I would be very careful with 4.7gr of TG under 180gr .40s&w. Hodgdon lists 4.7gr as max for 180gr bullets. I use a lot of TG in my .40s&w minor loads, and 9mm minor loads. It's a great low charge, low recoil powder, but it WILL KABOOM a .40s&w at max charge. TG can be very spiky in high pressure calibers like .40s&w, and 9mm at max charge. BE VERY CAREFUL!!!

Im confident in my powder dropper and i set my COAL to 1.135 on .40 and ive never had a setback issue. My 40 cal gun is a sig p229. I think they are plenty strong enough right?

By the way the 4.7 gr titegroup with 180 gr berrys bullets at 1.135 chronoed at 960 fps

TiteGroup is a great powder. Meters well, is very economical to use, and is specifically "case position insensitive" due to it's very low case fill.

It was mentioned above about it having the inherent potential for problems because of low case fill... double charge. Can't emphasize that enough!

I've used it in 9mm, .38sp/.357 mag, .40, 10mm, and .45 ACP. The only round it sucks for is the .357 mag. I but few because that's what I had for powder and wanted to shoot the GP100. Makes for fairly slow rounds in the .357.

Overall, it's a powder I don't like to be without. Versatile like Unique. Perhaps cleaner.

I have had great luck using Titegroup for 40 S&W. 4.5 grains under an xtreme 180 rnfp bullet set at about 1.130" gives me a 168 Power Factor with great accuracy out of my Glock 35.
