How about we do both days? If you can make it both, that's great; if not, just come out whenever you can.

I'm good to go for both days. How does 10 am at the gunshow sound? We can do some shopping, then convoy out to the range for some fun. For those new folks, I'll be wearing a green Molon Labe hat and possibly toting a Mossberg 500 with side-folding stock that I may try to sell. If you're in the parking lot at the show or meet out at the range, I'll be driving a blue '98 Ford Ranger, TN tags OEF VET. I usually park under the covered area at the fairgrounds, to the right of the building housing the gun show (as you enter). Just keep your eye out for a devilishly handsome guy wearing said hat.

Frank

Bryan,

I'll do my level best to sell it before you see me. I don't think $200 is too much to ask for a Mossberg 500 with side-folding stock/PG, heat shield, side-saddle, and hi-viz front sight.

Everyone:

Sunday is the 60th anniversary of D-Day. In memory of The Greatest Generation, everyone who has a WW2 mil-surp (particularly Garands, M-1 Carbines, 03A3's, and other USGI weapons) should bring them to the range for a Memorial 'Mad Minute'. Of course, those of us who aren't lucky enough to yet own one of those mentioned are invited to bring our Mosin-Nagants, Mausers, and Arisakas as well. What say you?

Frank

Funny you should mention that Frank,

If we can get out there I was planning on bringing a Garand, M1 Carbine and 1911 just for that very reason.

You're a truly evil man, you know that? ;)

Just to put a bug in everyone's ears, I'm bringing a Savage tactical in .308 and a couple 1911's to sell or trade. If someone has a real good Smith revolver, I might be interested in a trade.

In reference to the Savage(it's set up-the good stuff,) I'm really wanting a S&W 646. I'd take a big loss for one.

Yes, Bryan, I am evil, but in a good way! mwithers, being the nice guy that he is, is stepping up and preventing you from buying a gun you don't need. He called mere minutes after I posted and asked if it was alright to come over and check it out tomorrow. So, if he buys it, you won't have to worry about being struck with an unavoidable case of Iwannacoolgunitis. Isn't he helpful? ;)

I've invited Steelharp to bring his dad and his WW1 repro 1911. For those who didn't see the thread, his dad is a WW2 vet. I think Sunday, June 6th would all the more meaningful to have such an esteemed guest as Mr. Douchette there with us.Read this.

Frank

Lane: Tell me more about the 1911s! (Where's the drool smilie?) I might still be in the market.

Frank: ***?! You go an buy an 870, now you're selling the 500? Trader!!

did somebody say roadtrip???

i'll be there sunday, who's gonna lead me in?? i remember how to get to ashland city, but from there.... i dunno???

BryanP... Yep it is now in a new home so you dont have to worry now:D You can thank me later for saving you

Yesterdaysyouth.... you can follow me again if you want to

I'm interested in going if someone can clarify when and where and give directions. I can only do it on Sunday, naturally.
I can bring a genuine Chink copy of a 1911 and a Schmift Rubin, possibly used to keep refugees from entering the holy land of Switzerland or guarding Nazi gold, the Swiss contribution to WWII.

rabbi,

If you can find your way to the court house in ashland city you can meet up with me their and I could lead you in. send me a PM if you need more info and directions to the court house.

Think I can handle a trip to the range- this gives me a week to do some loadin:) Will probably be out there Sunday afternoon, will hit the gunshow early Sat. AM.

Chris

Blah blah, not just an 870, three 870's. :D Blah blah keeping the desert 500 blah, blah blah not a total traitor blah blah blah.
Blah blah, oh really? Blah blah that's good, blah blah blah whatever... :neener:

Is anyone lending lodging for this? I am running a list of costs and so forth for a trip, and lending me a couch for a night or two would be a big help. Its not definite yet, so if I dont go there will always be lodging for someone else. I can also seat an additional 4 in my car, assuming everyone's guns fits in my trunk or someone elses vehicle.

I am currently seeing if I can get coverage for my Sat. and Sun. shifts at work.

Cool, thanks. I just sent emails to a couple of people to see if they would swap me shifts, and I hope they will.

You know, I realize why I never make the TN Mafia shoots. From Fayetteville, AR it would cost me (at current prices) $240 with 140mi gas reserve included, and about $45 worth of aditional ammo. But doing Atkins adds an extra $15 per day to food budgets too.

:D

Darrin, I have a couple we built at the shop, so they will have to be transferred. One is a Caspian frame with a Remington-Rand slide. The slide has a S&W adjustable rear sight and a slight ramp front, pure 70's custom style. I have been playing with the idea and put it together. Real neat pistol. The other is an STI frame with a linkless barrle and an external and adjustable extractor. It has a stainless Caspian slide with Novak's. I'll be there Saturday and maybe Sunday. We'll see what the misses says.

mwithers... have either of your phone numbers changed since last year??
i'd like to come out and see your new toys before we roll out to the range...

does anyone have a semi auto chambered in 762x54, like a svt, romak, drag. etc... i have a bunch of silver tip that i'm looking to use up, otherwise i'll have to give the mosin's a workout....
