TN: "Open Carry Freedoms Act of 2014" HB2409 & SB2424 Open Carry No Permit

Both bills look identical, it would permit open carry without a permit. The information from below is entirely public information from a State Government site and should not have copyright restrictions.

    Not yet and probably won't.

HB 2409 got moved to the end of the calender in the House, where Chairman Mike Harrison arbitrarily has acted as a ploy to kill it as an unwanted bill. If the legislative year runs out there won't be a House vote on it and it will simply die. Politics in a supermajority state like TN aren't as clear cut as some may think.

Great news as well. This is how it should be everywhere, open carry w/o permit.
