To all the Hawaii members

The high road has been a great source on information and inspiration for me. But living in Hawaii, one of the most strict states on gun laws, faces some problems that people in the mainland don't face. The biggest one is that we live across miles of ocean and have much higher shipping costs than other places. Also, many people here don't even realize that we have a 2nd amendment and guns are viewed as taboo by many.

In order to try and help progress our liberties and information in Hawaii, i've set up a forum for the people of Hawaii to go to. My goal is to give people, young and old, a place to go and talk about anything that you'd talk about here but also give a place for us to buy and sell firearms online.

I wish you a very good luck. Hawai'i needs to learn they have the same protection as other citizens, and I know it will take efforts like yours to make it happen. Good show.

Tip: make your log-in easier for people. Reduce the length of your required password from eight to four. Drop the mixed case requirement. People are much more inclined to register at a site that lets them use simple to remember names and codes. I tried to register and your site failed me after several attempts - once I reach that level at any sight I give up and move along. Once you are asking for an eight-character mixed alpha/numeral mixed-case, you are asking WAY too much. NSA codes work with fewer keys. Really.

Probably you are using an off-the shelf program. It has set the password requirements too high and you need to tone them down. Remember, all the banks in the US find a four-digit numeral sufficient for protection. If a software requires more than a four digit or alpha sequence, it's asking too much.

I just registered and waiting for the email. I probably won't participate too much, I don't plan to return to Hawaii in the near future, but who knows. I did, however want to support your site primarily because of your support of 2A.

Hawaii has a 10 round limit on pistol magazines, but the EBRs should be fine if registered within 5 days.

When I used to live in Hawaii from 89-99, I was told by several people that magazine parts were not prohibited, even if they were for >10 rounds. You just needed to assemble them with a block in placce to keep them legal.

Yeah, that's right. They are just banned if they are assembled like most things.
