Mrs Claus bought me a cellular trailcam for Christmas. I grabbed my SD cards, batteries, new camera, and hopped on the honda. I had a remote river trail crossing in mind for a camera location. I got my plans changed when I reached the river...

Unfortunately I didn't have a great plan b for a location, so I hung the camera on my side of the river crossing.
Soon after I hung the camera I had a text showing this sasquatch ....wait that's me..
I'm not really that fat...there's a pair of binos under that coat...

Since it's still archery season for a couple more weeks...I drug my xbow along just in case..
..I saw 18 deer in all this evening but the arrows stayed in the quiver this time.

Yup..as long as you have a late season antlerless permit...only select counties have a late season.

Took a little walk on Myrtle Beach with my LCPII 380 in my front pocket. Just incase I ran into a Rouge Sea Gull.

Went for a walk on the Riverwalk in Conway, SC this morning.

Saw this big guy sunning itself.


Lots of morning walkers had to check him out. My favorite carry knife with me and my LCPII. Nothing is as handy as a little Swiss Army knife.

Yes I do miss the snow, but don't miss the cold.
I do like the little bit longer day of being south.
We are planning on moving back north to be close to family, but will snowbird during the winter.

Just a quick hike in this nice weather. Almost walked right by this snake. Good thing I saw him at the last second I'm sure he would have struck as I walked by a few inches from him. Assuming its a rattler by the coloring but he wasnt rattling.

Pretty sure I can see rattles in the picture. I suspect there lots of people who would be surprised by how close they've been to a venomous snake.

Don't see many at the house. A couple of black races, they're harmless and faster than I am. The cottonmouths stay closer to the ponds in the Subdivision.

CZ PCR (75 D), 9x19 mm. For the unfamiliar, this is one of their types of Compacts, but is in DA/SA. Not the best DA pull (it's much better than a stock HK USP), but the overall ergos are my favorite.

The decocking lever is just forward of the hammer. As a Lefty, guns’ ergos all seem normal.

Spent most of the week at Hilton Head Island. Really enjoyed Pinckney Island National Refuge. And a stop to see rhe lighthouse at Hunting State Park.



My carry for the week was my Taurus 605.

Yeah, on the hike today I carried my RIA 1911, but it wasn't for snakes. At 5 degrees, they just aren't a threat.
