My 1914 Erfurt is a pleasure to shoot as well. I rarely pull the pistol out but I am always blown away by the feel and pointability of a luger. It may not be a modern "tactical" pistol but it feels right in the hand. That must have been a desirable weapon circa WW1.
........... I agree with that; and mine's a 1916 Erfurt. It's had a ton of rounds through it before I got it so it rarely gets out. When it does it's a real pleasure to shoot for the aforementioned reasons. Also because it's such an iconic piece of firearms history. For more regular range & carry usage there's always the good old Glock 19. This one's a gen. 3 . Not collectible so I can shoot it extensively and not worry about it.
