I don't want to elaborate, but tonight I had a bad experiance with the police. No I was not arrested. All I can say is that I weep for what we have allowed to happened to our country and have lost all respect for my local police. It will take an act of god for them to regain my respect. I am now convinced we live in a police state.

I have nothing against you fine officers who uphold and defend our rights... But those who couldn't care less about our rights or the Constitution...

God... Why have we allowed this to happen?

That's all I care to say.

All it takes is one nasty experience, and it is a sadly common experience. Most cops are great, but they need to do a better job of dealing with the one's who arent.

Come on guys...being a cop is a job. That's it. Like working at Burger King, you get good service, you get bad service. If you have a real problem, file a complaint. Don't know how to? PM me, I'll give you some pointers.

Weep for the country? Dude you live in California, I think Canada is more American that that place....(actually that is a joke. I in no way meant to offend any Canadians).

By the way, this is shameless cop bashing that has nothing to do with either guns, polictics, tactics, etc. You won't even mentioned what happened other than to say cops suck.

Hell, I ought to get T-Shirts printed.

I wish I could say that most cops are great. I really wish I could. But I just ran into 3 bad cops at once.

I am thinking about filing a complaint.... but to be honest, I am frightened by what may happen if I do.

Personally I would rather have the police controling the streets in my town rather than have criminal gangs controling them.

"I am thinking about filing a complaint.... but to be honest, I am frightened by what may happen if I do."

Gimme a break. Man up or quit crying. Seriously.

Just some tough love......I'll seriously help you if you need it.

Jim,

Cops only become thugs when allowed to. If you can't file that complaint, you are the reason they are how they are. File the complaint, and sue them if you can.

Also, if it is so bad you weep, you ought not keep it secret. That is how rapists get away. You ought to publicly tell your story, and be specific as to exactly which cops did it. Name them. Remember, only slaves live in fear.

What is the difference when you cannot tell them apart other than by car and uniform?

I do understand the comment I heard from a one light on the highway speedtrap town of Venus TX. "next time you get stopped for speeding just pull your gun out to show the officer." If they didn't want to share the coffee in that convenience store with a traveler they could have said it much better than that. This was said in front of the "chief".

The guys at burger king didnt swear an oath, they cannot arrest you, they cannot contive to remove your freedom, and they are not given exception to laws that govern the rest of the nation. Your analogy is laughable.

Somehow I smell something....could be fish, could be bullcrap....could be troll B.O.

Lot's of people here willing to help a guy file a complaint with no real specific information other than "gee, the mean police man hurt my feelins'" and comparing gangs with cops. Good one txgho1911.........

...............Nazi comparisons coming in 10.....9.....8....7.....

Hows the view inside your glass house? I only see one person in this thread who seems to have lost their ability to mantain an adult conversation.

I didn't start this to be a troll. Admins can close the thread if they think otherwise. I have no intention of calling anyone a nazi.

I don't want to go into deatail cause I am worried about retaliation (I was threatened with bodily harm). I know cops read this board and one of those involved might read this.

If it's so bad you weep, then you must do something about it. File a complaint, tell your priest, contact the media. Don't be a victim. Don't let whatever happened occur again.

file a report its your duty.

i would go directly to their internal affairs or contact the CHP about the incident if you dont trust the SJ police.

I saw some show where some police watchdog group went undercover to a police station somewhere in CA and tried to file a complaint. Just by going up to the counter and asking for a complaint form the person was threatened from the start with arrest and obstruction to intimidaton of bodily harm as a scare tactic to get him not to file a report and out of the station. the cop followed him outside yelling at him threatening him with arrest the whole time till the guy felt so threatened he left. then the news got a hold of the tape and confronted the cop and the department, very interesting.

its your duty.

Hi alduro! :)
Bad service from a BK employee can mean a bad meal.
Bad service from a cop can make for much worse.
And hey, guess who the 'employee cop' works for?

JimDiver,
I have to agree with the assessment that it is your duty
to eport abuse: if only to try to save the next potential victim.
I admit this opinion is coming from way up in the cheap seats.

the florida anti cop sting was a totall fake

they didn't just go up and ask for a form!!!!!!!!!!

they didn't just go up and ask for a form!!!!!!!!!!

they didn't just go up and ask for a form!!!!!!!!!!

if you can not see the really really obvious editing then you are just cheerleaders for cheapo mikey moore imitators!!!

it's so dam obvious that there was tons and tons of editing in that florida video...tons and tons...amaturish editing at that!!!

Jim... I really doubt that SJ police are monitoring this board, my brother is a cop in NY and I can't get him innerested in it.

only gunnies like us frequent thr....I frequently argue with my brother over cop stuff but you got to walk a mile in their shoes before you begin to understand...when I was an armed guard in San Francisco I would have crazy people run up to me yelling pig and really nutty anti police stuff because I looked like one, it's probably ten times worse if you are a cop.

I would bet you that not only are they unconcerned about thr and are unaware of it that they also have completely forgotton the whole incident.

The first time I ever saw a cop hit his lights just to run a red light because he was tired of waiting when there was no crossing traffic, it was in San Jose. :)

See Jim, cops are your friends. Sorry it took you so long to realize it. Didn't you see the video after Katrina of the sheriff's deputies driving around, shooting dogs? You sound like an old timer. People my age, we grew up knowing cops are like this, and thus are not so shocked and heartbroken when they push around the little people.

PS My mom is a nice, middle aged lady. The only time in her entire life when she said, "F_U_, you b_ch" was to a Walnut Creek police officer, once it became clear the cop was harassing my brother for no reason other than harassing him. The best part was, the cop didn't do a damned thing to my mom. You shouldn't fear anything about posting more about it on the Internet.

PPS the first time in my life I ever met a cop was when I was eight years old, coming home from a San Francisco Giants game. My mom couldn't find the on-ramp to the freeway, so she decided to ask some SFPD motorcycle cops for directions. See, she grew up in your era, when cops were just friendly folks who would help you out if you asked. Know what they said, to a nice woman just asking for directions? "What's a matter, can't you read the signs? Are you stupid?"

When the anti's finally outlaw our guns, these friendly cops will be the ones enforcing it. Katrina was the preview.

And now, I'm just waiting for Art Eatman to lock this thread.

I Haven't Seen ANY Cop-bashing from Jim

I see cop-bash-baiting here, but I don't see Jim doing any bashing. I see a man genuinely concerned for his health. I have gone through this one, my friend, when I was a 17-year old junior. A married officer was dating a 17-year old girl. I was working in support of a local project that was selling advertisements. When I stopped at this business, Miss. Infidelity came on to me like a was a pork chop. Trust me--I was NOT interested. But, she told her "boyfriend" that I wouldn't take no and kept asking for dates. Yeah. Okay, so married-wonder calls me at my parents' home and starts yelling at me, works up to froth-at-the-mouth cussing, yelling and flat-out details how he's going to kill me! I was just a 17-year-old brat. Well, Jim, I called my brother (in-law) who just happened to also be a county police in fact same department. I was going to go to the sheriff but it wasn't necessary.

Do people see a stark difference here? To whom can Jim turn? There are crony-cops out there, and crony-administrators. And please, don't even start with ME about alleged cop-bashing. And if you do, PM it in a gentlemanly fashion--this is THR! Jim is expressing concern in the proper venue--Legal and Political. I would say his post is proper. But as I opened, I do see a LOT of cop-bash-baiting here.

Jim, you HAVE to do the right thing! Write down exact what they did, and do it sooner rather than later for credible memory sake. Take a formal written complaint to the chief. If that doesn't work, go to the prosecutor, and if that fails see whom ever you have to see to get a Grand Jury! Do NOT let this pack of abusers abuse society.

In closing, I DO know what I am talking about. For the past well over 1 year I have been defending someone that this happened to. I can't speak in details until after the trial, but when the trial is over, I can post some details of a real abuser-cop. But, because I will be a witness, I have to keep my mouth shut for now!

Go do the right thing, Jim! Take back your life and rights! Good luck and God bless. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Bad service at Burger King does not result in you possibly being shot due to employee error.
