I was thinking today I really want an S&W 3906 to add to my collection of 3rd gen S&W autos. I checked all the auction sites and came up empty. Then I started trying to figure out if they ever made a blued carbon steel version...this could be something to lust after if such a thing existed, I thought. So I did some googling and came across the blued carbon steel slide, black alloy framed 3904! Wow! Where do i get one of these babies?!?! Then I remembered that I already have a 3904...I think at this point I'm certifiable!! :)

I get that, maybe I was over explaining myself, my point was, I got all excited about trying to find a gun that it turns out I already actually had in the collection.

That is a sweet gun. I had and sold a 3906 some years ago. :banghead:

I know what you're going through. I was bt hard by the S&W 3rd Gen bug and often times have to go back to the safe to remember what I have and what I still need / want.

Yes it is sad that you have too many Third Generation S&W autos while I on the other hand have none. I will gladly send you my FFL's address so you can ship some of them to me and then balance will be restored in the Universe.

The first handgun I ever purchased was a S&W model 910; I bought it the day I got out of the Army. That particular gun wasn’t very accurate and I never could figure out why so I got rid of it.

I always liked the look of those pistols though and I ended up with a third gen 6906 and a 4006 that are the only guns I ever carry.
