She has been carrying an LC9 for almost 5 months now (that she picked out), and lately has been complaining about the long take up and reset of the factory trigger. I considered ordering the parts from Galloway Precision to shorten it up a bit, but thought I would let her examine some other models and see if anything jumped out at her.

After showing her several guns I thought she might like, (M&P9c, PM9, SR9c, etc.) she still had not found one worth swapping her LC9 for. in a last ditch effort, I took her over to the 1911 case, and had her handle an EMP in 9mm. She fell in love immediately. She especially loved the trigger, as she should after shooting the LC9 for so long. I think I am more excited than she is. The LGS had one in stock with 3 mags, and factory NS for 1187 +tax. Seemed a little high to me, so I plan to order one from my favorite online retailer tomorrow. I can't wait to see her face when she gets to shoot it for the first time. Just thought I'd share here.

I have one in 9mm and she is correct. It has a great trigger. It's easy to conceal, sights are great, & it looks awesome. When I take it to the range, it seems like I always have at least one person ask to shoot it. Better watch out though, after you get it for your wife, you will want one too. :)

You're a lucky man. I can't get my wife out of the house without a fire.

Ryano - good for you (and her). My wife finally showed some interest the past couple of weeks in carrying. We haven't gotten serious about it yet but I think it's fantastic to see women carrying guns.

Does she plan to carry the EMP in a purse or on her person? If purse, what kind of purse does she have?

She carries her LC9 occasionaly on her in a Crossbreed minituck or a cheap-o belly band. Usually it is in her normal purse (not a CCW specific purse). I have always pushed for the on-body carry with her, but I'll take what I can get. I suspect the EMP will be limited to purse carry as she struggled to conceal the thin LC9. Glad your wife is showing an interest. It makes range time even more fun when you can take your significant other.

Not a fan of the LC9. Sounds like she made an awesome choice!
