IMG_0538.JPG IMG_0537.JPG I put some rounds through my new HK P30sk and Ruger LC9s Pro this afternoon, as well as my 9mm American Classic 1911. I've had the 1911 for a while, but put new micarta grips on it and wanted to get a feel for them.

The two new guns both ran like tops with Blazer brass 115gr fmj, Atlanta Arms 115gr FMJ, and Barnes TacX JHP (my carry ammo of choice). The 1911 ran flawless, as usual.

The trigger on both new were nice. The double action was a little stiff on the HK, but the single action was wonderful. I ran about 25 rounds while decocking for each to get used to the DA.

The target below was only at five yards, but I wanted to get used to the new guns. I will move further out on my next range visit. The pic below is the first 25 rounds each through the new guns.

How's the accuracy of your American Classic 1911?

The American Classic was very accurate out if the box. I did have an issue around the 300 round mark, when the original barrel bushing broke. Forgetting that it was under warranty, I had a local smith hand fit a new Ed Brown bushing. It will now shoot one hole groups until I get tired of shooting it. Being a full sized steel gun, it eats the hottest loads with the recoil of a .22..

Looks like you've got three nice shooting 9mm.s. Keep up the good work with the target shooting.

Good to hear, I have a few 1911s in 9mm including a Rock Island which I really like. I have a DW Pointman 9 and a Colt Gov't 9mm and they are a pleasure to shoot.

I was planning on a Desert Eagle 1911C in 9mm next, but keep seeing these American Classics for about $500 so might have to try one soon.

Nice guns! I carry a P30SK with night sites and a LEM trigger in spring, fall, and winter.

I like that gun a lot.

I also bought my girlfriend an LC9S and it's a great carry gun also. Fun to shoot too.
