Gday, in my efforts to find a useful multi purpose short barrelled shotgun I have aquired a Russian TOZ 66.
I was wondering if anyone had any info about it. It seems to be similar to the baikal coach guns but is about 30-40 years old.
It has a 20" barrel, outside hammers (quite heavy) and some moderate quality engraving on the usual decorated surfaces.
Oh yes - is 12ga.
I will be grateful for any information anyone can provide.

Cheers
V

Vairochana, I also have a TOZ-66, but I did the class 3 stuff to it and had it cut down. I've read around the internet that they were discontinued around the 1970's and only worth around $275 or so. I think I paid $300 for mine about 9 years ago. Nothing expensive or fancy but they seem to be a solid hammer gun. Click this link to see another post with my TOZ-66 and my other short barreled shotguns.

Nice, tho there is no way we could do that here legally.
I have a nice 30" SxS already, this one is for other jobs, pigs etc.
It looks nice and solid, hope it will serve me for 30 yrs too
